Hallmark Star Alec Santos Details Unforgettable ‘Machu Picchu Proposal’ Shoot
Image
Hallmark Channel’s newest film, ‘A Machu Picchu Proposal’, is set to premiere this week, a movie that combines romance, love, unexpected moments, and fun. Set in the Peruvian landscape of Machu Picchu, the story centers around Katie, whose brother’s wedding proposal goes downhill.

She finds herself in Carlos’s orbit, a chef with a whole lot of charm who prefers following his instinct over itineraries. Actor Alec Santos, who plays Carlos in the film, recently talked about shooting the flick in paradise during a chat with TV Fanatic.

Bucket List Location

Alec tells TV Fanatic that making the movie was “… a dream come true”. He adds, “We shot in Machu Picchu, right? That is a bucket-list place for so many people.”

With that said, the filming was not overly peaceful as the movie was not a closed set, with a lot of background noise, from people shouting to dogs barking,...

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 8 recap: Diving deeper into Tara’s background
Image
This post contains spoilers from Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 8.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 7 wreaked havoc from all angles. The Uncle Cyrus deepfake failed to turn Voit evil, but succeeded in breaking Penelope’s spirit when a keystroke results in a victim’s death. If Sicarius Spiders didn’t scare us enough, Tara lying unconscious with bullet wounds gutted fans. I’m still in shambles as the pain continues in episode 8 with Tara fighting for her life.

Episode 8 dove headfirst into Tara’s grief and discovered she had closed herself off from love and commitment after losing her mom to cancer. Fans learned more about Tara than ever before while sobbing over her impending battle. Meanwhile, the Bau was pulling an all-nighter to uncover answers on Tara’s shooting by the disciple known as Mr. Lonely Heart (who ironically was kicked off the network while Voit was running it). With each new clue,...

‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’: Aisha Tyler on Exploring Tara & Her Mother’s Relationship, That Big Decision & More
Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 18 Episode 8 “Tara.”] “It’s always interesting when you get a script that has your character’s name on the front,” Aisha Tyler says with a laugh. “You’re always like, ‘What’s going to happen?!'” After the previous episode ended with her character, Dr. Tara Lewis, getting shot, the Thursday, June 26, one sees her in surgery, then unconscious in the hospital while, in her mind, she speaks with her mother (Latanya Richardson Jackson), who died when she was young. Their conversations — “You’re a high-functioning overachiever who became a fixer to avoid grief, but unprocessed heartbreak like yours weighs you down,” her mom warns — lead Tara to, once she’s recovering and out of the hospital, propose to her girlfriend, Rebecca (Nicole Pacent), while at the Bau for a visit. Below, Aisha Tyler opens up about getting to explore a different side of Tara, that proposal,...

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 8 Review: Death, Dreams, and the Ghosts Who Keep Us Company
Image
What is it about the near-death episodes that always go a little sideways?

They flirt with the metaphysical, give us emotional flashbacks, and usually end with a heart monitor spiking back to life right before the final act.

But when Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 8 throws Tara into that familiar liminal space between life and death, it somehow manages to feel deeply personal.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

And not just for Tara — for me, for the team, for anyone who’s ever begged the world to slow down and notice they’re not okay.

Let’s just say this wasn’t an easy one to write. Because, like Tara, I’ve been there — screaming inside while the world just keeps spinning.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+) The Brutal Barrier Between Life and Death

The first few minutes of this episode are deceptively simple. Tara “wakes” up, confused and cold, muttering about coffee and...

Criminal Minds Evolution Season 18 Episode 8 Recap: Is Cyrus Still Alive?
Image
Following the horrid cliff-hanger at the end of the previous episode, which saw Dr. Tara Lewis and DOJ Prosecutor Evan getting shot by a masked assailant, the eighth episode of the ongoing season of Criminal Minds opens on a somber note. Evan is revealed to have sustained minor injuries, and he recuperates, while Tara’s injuries appear critical as she undergoes surgery and, in a comatose state, clings to dear life. The assailant, who was seen wearing a Yase Otoko mask, is initially considered to be connected with Voit, but further investigation reveals the situation to be more complex than that assessment. Overall, with two more episodes remaining in this season, the eighth episode takes some time off of the central investigation to reflect upon Tara as a character, and is pretty self-contained in its approach.

Sarah Michelle Gellar teases bringing back fan-favorite characters for the Buffy reboot
Image
Fans of Buffy The Vampire Slayer might see some of their favorites returning to the upcoming reboot. Sarah Michelle Gellar has teased to Vanity Fair Italia, that she hopes some of her former co-stars will appear in the supernatural series.

Gellar told the outlet that she and the show’s makers are working to balance new and old characters in the reboot. “My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well.”

The show was famous for not being afraid to kill off characters, even when it wasn’t the most popular decision with fans. Decades later and fans haven’t forgiven creator Joss Whedon for Tara’s demise.

Alyson Hannigan’s Willow seems a likely character to bring back. Xander, who is played by Nicholas Brendon, is less surefire due to the actor’s own personal issues.

Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys series creator, showrunner, and executive producer Melanie Halsall describes season two of the coming-of-age series as bigger and better than the first. “We’ve got massive set pieces in each episode, and the stories are more intricate. We found our feet with our characters, [and] the actors really understand their characters now,” offered Halsall in an interview with Tudum. “When I was coming back, I was excited to start shooting again because I knew we had great stories to tell.”

Netflix released the first batch of photos from the upcoming second season, but hasn’t announced a confirmed premiere date. All the streamer is promising is that season two will debut this summer.

Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy contre les vampires (1997)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Dead characters may live again?
Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy contre les vampires (1997)
After years of rumors, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is going full steam ahead on a reboot series, that will see Sarah Michelle Gellar reprise her iconic role, alongside a new slayer played by the newly cast Ryan Kiera Armstrong. However, one thing on the minds of many old school fans is whether or not any classic characters might join Gellar in the reboot.

While a guest at the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival, Gellar opened up to the press about her vision for the new series, which comes from Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao.“It will be lighter than the last few seasons of the original. We will try to find a balance between new and old characters. My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well.”

Alec Santos Brings Heart and Soul to Hallmark From Machu Picchu to Christmas Magic
Image
Hallmark’s A Machu Picchu Proposal feels like a postcard come to life — vibrant, romantic, and filled with the kind of unexpected moments that only travel (and love) can bring.

When Katie’s brother’s proposal plans go sideways, she finds herself entangled with Carlos, a charming chef who’d rather follow instinct than itineraries.

The result? A sweeping adventure set against the breathtaking Peruvian landscape — and a love story that blossoms in the shadow of one of the world’s most awe-inspiring wonders.

For actor Alec Santos, who plays Carlos, filming the movie on location was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

(Hallmark Media/Screenshot)

“It was a dream come true in many ways,” Alec shared. “We shot in Machu Picchu, right? That is a bucket-list place for so many people.”

But shooting in a world wonder isn’t exactly peaceful. “It’s not a closed set. There’s a lot of noise — dogs barking,...

My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2 First Look
Image
Netflix has shared a first look at My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2, which is set to launch on the streaming service this summer.

After leaving Silver Falls following Alex’s love confession and her kiss with Cole, Jackie Howard spent the summer in New York City. When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set boundaries with Cole while finding her place within the Walter family.

But fitting back in isn’t that easy. Alex, who changed a lot over the summer, isn’t too thrilled about Jackie’s attempts to reconnect, as he’s focused on training for a risky rodeo event (and enjoying all of the new attention he’s getting).

Meanwhile, Cole takes on a new role at school, but when that doesn’t quite fill the void left by not playing football, his old ways...

Scream 7: Everything We Know About the New Sequel
Image
In 2022, Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media revived the Scream franchise with a new entry (the fifth) that was a box office hit, earning almost $139 million at the global box office. Fourteen months later, Scream VI came along – and became an even bigger hit, pulling in almost $169 million at the global box office, a number that was up there with the series’ heyday, when the first Scream and Scream 2 made just over $170 million. (Scream 3 also made over $160 million – only Scream 4 failed to crack $100 million.) So, of course, the companies are moving full steam ahead with Scream 7. While the movie seemed, initially, to be on the fast-track to success, the track it’s on has turned out to be a shockingly bumpy ride.

Melissa Barrera entered the franchise with the fifth Scream as a character named Samantha Carpenter, who turns out to have been the...

Saddle up for a summertime return to My Life With the Walter Boys! Netflix has debuted first-look images for Season 2 of the hit YA series, based on Ali Novak’s book of the same name.

Season 2 of the Netflix show will return this summer, and the young adult sensation has already been renewed for a third season. After Season 1’s launch in December 2023, it was quickly renewed for a sophomore season.

The second season will see Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez) return to Silver Falls, Colorado after she abruptly left the small town where she lived briefly to spend the summer in New York City. Season 1 watched Jackie move in with the Walters family, led by her late mother’s best friend Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) after she lost both parents and her older sister Lucy in a tragic car accident. "My Dream Is to Bring Back Everyone Who Has Died": Sarah Michelle Gellar Shares New Details About The Buffy Reboot
Image
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot has received an exciting update from Sarah Michelle Gellar. Gellar played the titular character for seven seasons from 1997-2003, and stated for years that the series ran its course, and that she was done with the role. However, Gellar is returning for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot with Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao directing the pilot episode for Hulu and showrunners Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckerman. Gellar will be a recurring guest star and an executive producer. Ryan Kiera Armstrong will lead the series as a new Slayer, with no other casting announcements made yet.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Gellar assures that the reboot will be lighter in tone than the final few seasons of the original show. She also says the creative team is trying to find a balance with new and old characters, with her hope that everyone who was killed off can return.

5 Liberating and Unconventional Love Stories in Hindi Cinema
Image
Hindi cinema has often been accused of glamorizing provocative issues like stalking or assault, or non-consent in the name of love & love stories. The essence has enriched and changed over the years, but all was not lost even during the darkest times of Hindi cinema.

And the few films that I’m going to mention here have dealt with the emotion of love with utmost sincerity, respect, and sensitivity it deserves. These love stories might or might not be of the lead characters, but have lifted the spirit of the movie with immense dignity and passion. And I’m not even touching the wave of Parallel Cinema in the 70s & 80s that transported the Hindi movies to the shore of World Cinema. This list is mostly of commercial films driven by star power.

“It Can Live in Any Form”: Horror Icon, 60, Explains the Scream Franchise's Longevity
Image
For those who have been worried or at least wondering if Scream will come to a screeching halt following the upcoming Scream 7, a recent statement from its creator, Kevin Williamson, leads us to believe it will go on and on — as long as the studio gives it the okay. While an eighth installment hasn’t been confirmed, Williamson shared his belief with the New York Post that the franchise has immense staying power no matter who stays or who goes, revealing,

“The thing about Scream is it can live in any form. And you can return to a character like Sidney and Gale and tell that story, and then the next one can be about someone else. I really like the idea that ‘Scream’ has evolved into a franchise that can expand in those ways.”

Cases in point can be found in the last two films, 2022’s Scream and...

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 7 left fans in shambles (recap)
Image
This post contains spoilers from Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 7.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 6 gave us answers only to leave us in the dark again. Rebecca’s ex, Evan, returns, sending Tara into a jealous tizzy. A woman is buried alive, and a package locks down the FBI building. From one extreme to the next, Criminal Minds fans can’t rest when all the devils are roaming the world.

Episode 7 left me in shambles. The new network unleashes Sicarius Spiders into the mouths of their male victims, who are then placed inside balloons set to explode in their stomachs. I’m with Penelope on this one as she tries to stop the invisible spiders from crawling all over her. That’s not even the worst part of this week’s evidence: Voit agrees to help the Bau and comes face-to-face with his past, while Tara’s fate hangs in the balance.

Did ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’ Just Kill off 2 Characters?
Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 18 Episode 7 “…All the Devils Are Here.”] The end of the Thursday, June 19, episode of Criminal Minds: Evolution either proves our theory that Rebecca’s (Nicole Pacent) friend Evan (Geoff Stults) can’t be trusted or tells us we’re way off-base. Evan was introduced in Season 18 Episode 6, and honestly, he came across as too nice. There was the history, and Tara (Aisha Tyler) was concerned that he wanted to get back together with her girlfriend, but he said he just wanted to introduce them to his fiancée with dinner. Plus, he showed up just before the Bau was delivered the Yase-Otoko mask, representing a ghost suffering in hell and now the hallmark of Voit’s (Zach Gilford) network seemingly operating without him. It was a clear message. Now, in Season 18 Episode 7, Rebecca finds out Evan’s replacing her as the Department of Justice’s liaison to Voit,...

Criminal Minds Evolution Season 18 Episode 7 Recap: Is Dr. Tara Lewis Dead?
Image
The seventh episode of the ongoing season of Criminal Minds: Evolution is undoubtedly the darkest one of the season so far, unfurling a series of events that will have a longstanding impact on the series moving forward. As seen previously, while assisting the Bau unit in their investigation by interrogating Kyle Mackey, Voit was able to tap into his psychopathic self but managed to retain his newfound humanity afterwards. Graber shared a cryptic message with Voit that hinted at more such organized serial killers being in action, a suspicion Kyle Mackey, the recently caught serial killer of Voit’s network, confirms. Bau received a mysterious package by the end of the last episode, which is revealed to contain a Japanese Yase Otoko mask, the same one that Graber, aka the Brutal Man, was wearing while stalking/killing his victims.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 6 wakes up the new serial killer network (recap)
Image
This post contains spoilers from Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 6.

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 5 helped me see crime scenes through the lens of grief. JJ has dealt with grief since childhood, but it hardly affected her work until now. Having her retell the case to Dr. Ochoa and Voit not only helped Voit communicate with the Brutal Man, but it also uncovered information about the new serial killer network.

Two killers sit across from each other, as Voit taps into his evil side to make the unsub believe he’s his leader. Voit remembers more than the Bau knew about, but is later fact-checked by Penelope. The Brutal Man met Voit when he was a kid. Did this memory break Voit’s brain while almost having the unsub try to commit suicide in front of him? It’s a high possibility, which is jaw-dropping.

Criminal Minds Season 18 Episode 6 Unmasks More Than Killers on “Hell Is Empty…”

Some episodes are about the unsub. Some are about the team.

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 6 explores how trauma weaves its way through both.

How the ties that bind us, particularly family, can be both the start of everything and the reason it all falls apart.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

Let’s start with Voit. The longer he sticks around, the more he makes sense — not as a character who needs redeeming, but as one whose connections to the team are more personal than we ever realized.

His sessions with Rossi continue to fascinate because, deep down, Voit didn’t just want to beat Rossi — he admired him, studied him, and modeled himself after him.

Criminal Minds Evolution Season 18 Episode 6 Recap: Did The Bau Unit Save Eva and Hailey?
Image
Bau’s decision to include an amnesiac Voit in their investigation to destabilize the newly growing serial killer cult of Sicarius followers proves effective, as in the latest episode the team once again manages to apprehend a serial killer in action. Previously in Criminal Minds: Evolution, the killer—Ronald Graber, aka the Brutal Man—was captured by the team thanks to JJ finding a common connection regarding serial family murders. Revealed to be one of Voit’s ardent followers, Graber agrees to cooperate only if Sicarius, aka Voit, is brought in front of him to receive his message.

Did Voit Remember His Connection With Graber?

Scream 7 Director Addresses Jenna Ortega & Melissa Barrera's Exits, Explains How Neve Campbell Convinced Him To Direct
Image
Scream 7 director Kevin Williamson discussed the exits of Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera, and also revealed that Neve Campbell is the reason he agreed to direct the next entry in the long-running horror franchise. Williamson has been involved in every Scream movie, either as a writer or executive producer. However, Scream 7 will not only be his first time directing a movie in the franchise, but will also serve as his directorial debut. Unfortunately, the seventh film won't directly follow 2023's Scream VI, since Ortega and Barrera will not return.

In an interview with Screen Rant's Ash Crossan for The Waterfront, a series which will be released on Netflix on June 19, Williamson addressed the exits of Ortega and Barrera and discussed his excitement about Scream 7's story, which will follow Campbell's Sidney Prescott. He revealed that Campbell was actually the one who suggested he should direct the seventh entry.

Time to Say Goodbye: Criminal Minds Honors Will’s Death with Heart and Grace
Image
Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 3 slowed its pace but deepened its pulse.

“Time to Say Goodbye” isn’t a standard episode. It’s a meditation on grief, guilt, and how loss ripples through the people left behind.

Where other shows might fast-forward through mourning, Evolution lingers. It lets JJ — and us — feel every beat of the aftershock.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

From the start, it’s clear this episode will hit differently.

JJ sits on the couch, lost in the memory of her wedding to Will, only to be yanked back to the present by the sound of her boys.

Did We Just Get a Clue About Dumas on May 21 Young and the Restless
Image
The Who is Aristotle Dumas Guessing Game churns on! We’ve considered Cane, we’ve considered Amanda. We’ve considered Jill and we’ve considered Jack. But on the May 21 episode of The Young and the Restless, Lauren and Michael brought up a name we haven’t thought of in years. And made us wonder if he could be the mystery man we’re all clamoring to see.

Remember Me?

For a while there, he was The Big Bad who made Victor (Eric Braeden) cranky and Jack (Peter Bergman) contentious. We’re talking, of course, about Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). He was the rich New York City mogul who raised Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) son for the first few years of Harrison’s (Redding Munsell) life, then married Victoria (Amelia Heinle).

A move Victor wholeheartedly approved of…until Ashland went against him, and then Victor claimed he’d never, ever,...

Why Tara's Leverage: Redemption Season 3 Return Was Meaningful For Parker Explained By Star: "She Feels Like She Has A Sister"
Image
Leverage: Redemption star Beth Riesgraf has given her thoughts on the return of Tara as a character, and how her return is significant for Parker. Following a recurring role in the original Leverage show, Tara, who is played by Jeri Ryan, appeared in Leverage: Redemption season 3, episode 5, attempting to steal the same watch as Parker and Interpol agent Astrid. The character's return to the franchise will impact several of the characters, not least Parker, who shares a unique bond with the legendary thief.

ScreenRant's Grant Hermanns sat down with Riesgraf to discuss Tara's return, and the actress talked about the familial dynamic Tara brings to both Sophie and Parker's lives, but in different ways. She also praised co-star Ryan, and her knowledge of the show, and how the character's return brings some important energy and action to the process. Discussing Tara's impact on the show, she talks about how...

Criminal Minds: Evolution Unleashes The Zookeeper and Breaks Our Hearts
Image
Criminal Minds: Evolution doesn’t believe in easing us into the season.

Following the premiere’s plunge into psychological torture and Voit’s return from the abyss, “The Zookeeper” delivers a searing, disturbing hour that deepens the central mystery, explores the high cost of trauma, and ends with a heartbreaking farewell to a character who has been with us since 2007.

There’s no sugar-coating this one. It was brutal, it was bold, and for longtime fans, it may be unforgivable.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

But first: sex.

Tara and Monica’s morning-after scene opened the episode with a rare look at intimacy in this world. Not just physical, but emotional intimacy, and the fear that comes with it.

Monica hit on something real when she accused Tara of living in the “fire me before I quit” mindset.

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 18 Episode 2 Recap: Did Bau Catch The Zookeeper?
Image
Despite Voit having apparently taken down his serial killer network in the previous season, his dark influence continues to leave a major impact, as in the second episode of the ongoing Criminal Minds: Evolution, another of his disciples emerges—much to the dismay of the Bau team, who race against time to save the victim. In the previous episode, Rossi and JJ discover crucial clues about the attack on Voit in prison, which indicate that he had deliberately set up the assault in the first place. On the other hand, as a new serial killer named Franklin Fowler makes his presence known, Bau manages to save his newest victims—not before Fowler takes his own life before getting captured. It is revealed that Fowler was possibly a part of Voit’s serial killer network. A hospitalized Voit awakens from his comatose state and attacks a nurse.

Spoilers Ahead

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 1 is a memorably shocking premiere (Recap and review)

I’ve been a Criminal Minds fan for as long as I can remember. Evolution season 2 left Voit’s fate in the balance, with the team begrudgingly agreeing to work with him to solve the serial killer case. In Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3, we catch up with the Bau and Voit six months after the previous season, only to find Voit in a coma and the team on the hunt for their newest unsub. Without further ado, let’s dive into the evidence that makes the episode a memorably shocking premiere on Paramount+. Spoilers below.

Criminal Minds Video: Aisha Tyler Previews a ‘Hot Season for UnSubs,’ Talks Directing Her Own Love Scene
Image
The new season of Criminal Minds: Evolution is going to be “a really hot one” for deviant UnSubs, Aisha Tyler promised during her visit to TVLine’s NYC video studio this week.

The Season 18 premiere (now streaming on Paramount+) picks up six months after Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) took that beating in prison, and now, even in his (seemingly?) compromised state, the Bau will need to try and work with him, again, to shut down the network of serial killers left in Sicarius’ wake.

Criminal Minds: Evolution Kicks Off Season 3 With a Killer Who Drowns in Darkness
Image
Criminal Minds: Evolution is back, and it wasted no time diving into dark waters — literally.

Criminal Minds Season 18 Episode 1, “Swimmer’s Calculus,” is a haunting, high-stakes season opener that plunges the Bau into the mind of a twisted killer who uses pools as a psychological battleground.

But as chilling as the unsub’s tactics are, it’s the psychological fallout, ongoing Voit storyline, and Tyler Green’s evolution (pun intended) that make this episode sink its hooks in deep.

(Michael Yarish/Paramount+)

Let’s start with the obvious: seeing anything in the opening scenes is nearly impossible. Paramount+, I beg you to invest in a flashlight or two. The darkness is so thick it borders on parody.

What we can discern involves a capped man slurping coffee and luring a stranger before spraying him in the face with aerosolized fentanyl. A cop arrives, gets tricked by a wasted brother ruse,...

'Criminal Minds' Season 18 Is Going To Be “Deeply Personal” for Tara, Says Aisha Tyler
Image
In about forty-eight hours, Criminal Minds will make a thrilling comeback with its eighteenth season, also serving as the third chapter of the Evolution revival. The season debuts with the "Swimmer's Calculus" episode, written by Breen Frazier and directed by Bethany Rooney, with every main character from Season 17 set to return, including the psychotic villain Elias Voit (Zach Gilford). A few hints have come up regarding what’s ahead for some of these characters; one from Paget Brewster (who portrays the Bau chief Emily Prentiss) and most recently from Aisha Tyler, whose character Tara Lewis is about to have one hell of a season.

Speaking with TVLine about the new installment of Criminal Minds, Tyler teased a “deeply personal” journey for her character, involving her history, saying:

“This season is going to be deeply personal for Tara. We get to dive into my backstory, which has been really beautiful.”

The stream of public domain horror continues, this time it’s E.C. Segar’s iconic sailor Popeye who gets turned into a killer. Years later we find out he’s still alive as he kills off a trio of obnoxious YouTubers. From there we join Tara (Emily Rose Mogilner; 500) who is about to inherit the land where the house stood so she along with her boyfriend Dylan, Nick (Bruno Cryan; Treeline Essex Girls), Kathy,...

'I Don't Want to Kill the Franchise': Scream 7 Star Shares Major Fear About Returning 30 Years Later
Image
It was recently announced that Matthew Lillard, certified Scream King and horror icon, would return to the slasher franchise in Scream 7. Lillard spoke to Cbr's Nicholas Brooks about returning to the Scream franchise almost 30 years after his debut as Stu Macher, a Woodsboro teen who, alongside Billy Loomis, terrorized the town as Ghostface.

Cbr: What does it feel like, you know, you're going back into the world of Scream?

Lillard: Yeah, I'm a little nervous. I'm not going to lie to you. I don't want to be the one who ends up killing the franchise forever. So yeah, so I'm hopeful. I mean, I'm hopeful that people like it. I hope people are excited about me. I'm hopeful that, you know, we deliver. Having Kevin back, having Neve in the fold again as the lead hero. Leverage: Redemption Season 3's Major Returning Character & Potential Future Explained By Star: "Like A Family Reunion"
Image
The return of a major character in Leverage: Redemptiongets a detailed explanation from the star herself. It is in Leverage: Redemption season 3, episode 5, "The Grand Complication Job", that Star Trek alum Jeri Ryan makes her return as the grifter Tara Cole. She's with Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman) when she gets abducted by Alexandra Bligh (Lucy Taylor), which is what helps Sophie get rescued in the end. However, there remains the question of whether Bligh is neutralized for good, even though she has been arrested.

In an interview with ScreenRant's Grant Hermanns, Ryan spoke about her return to the world of Leverage. Well-known for her role as Seven of Nine in the Star Trek franchise, the veteran performer noted that her time on Leverage as Tara Cole is among her favorite roles. In the quote below, Ryan talks about what makes the grifter so fun to play and Tara's overall dynamic with Sophie:

‘Criminal Minds’: Aisha Tyler Looks Back on Her First Episode & Defends Short Wig She Wore (Video)
Image
What better way to celebrate the return of Criminal Minds: Evolution on Thursday, May 8, than with a bit of a throwback? When the suspenseful drama returned for more on Paramount+ following a 15-season run on CBS, it did so with nearly everyone back we’d last seen with the Bau (Behavioral Analysis Unit). That included Aisha Tyler, as Dr. Tara Lewis, after her introduction in Season 11. And so when Tyler dropped by TV Insider during Season 17 to chat all things Criminal Minds, we had her watch a scene from her very first episode, Season 11 Episode 1, “The Job.” In it, the team’s search for a serial killer helped them find the person who filled the open spot left by Kate’s (Jennifer Love Hewitt) departure. Tara impressed the team, especially Hotch (Thomas Gibson) and Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) in the most on-the-job interview there is. Watch her watch and react to...

Star Wars Finally Gets Queer In Andor Season 2, But It Embraces A Miserable Trope
Image
This article contains spoilers for "Andor" season 2, episode 6.

Being a queer Star Wars fan is kind of like riding in the Millennium Falcon in "The Empire Strikes Back." Every time we punch the hyperdrive to actually get somewhere, it fizzles and dies. The messy character work of the latter Star Wars sequels is due in no smart part to an implicit "no homo" philosophy that seemed determined to keep Finn and Poe away from each other. And despite the drag couture of Queen Amidala's high Naboo fashions, explicit queerness has typically had to hide in implication or the less public corners of Star Wars.

Things have gotten a bit better over the last few years, with queer representation getting more attention in the Doctor Aphra comics and the High Republic novels. And "Andor" season 1 brought that energy to live action with a layered relationship between fellow rebel fighters Vel Sartha...

Netflix makes the Heartstopper 'season 4' announcement we've been waiting for
Image
Heartstopper has been on the minds of fans since the beloved series' third season premiered on Netflix. If we're being totally honest, the show has been on all our minds since it first premiered on the streaming service back in 2022, but there is no denying that there has been a lot of discussion around it in recent weeks and months.

The critically-acclaimed third season debuted in October and it very quickly made itself at home in Netflix's weekly Top 10. However, the streamer had yet to announce whether it would return for a fourth season, leaving it in limbo for months. That's a position that the show has never been in before as it was promptly renewed for two more seasons after the debut of its first season.

Six months after season 3's arrival, Netflix has finally confirmed what the future looks like for the show.

Heartstopper will conclude with a...
