Hallmark Channel’s newest film, ‘A Machu Picchu Proposal’, is set to premiere this week, a movie that combines romance, love, unexpected moments, and fun. Set in the Peruvian landscape of Machu Picchu, the story centers around Katie, whose brother’s wedding proposal goes downhill.

She finds herself in Carlos’s orbit, a chef with a whole lot of charm who prefers following his instinct over itineraries. Actor Alec Santos, who plays Carlos in the film, recently talked about shooting the flick in paradise during a chat with TV Fanatic.

Following the horrid cliff-hanger at the end of the previous episode, which saw Dr. Tara Lewis and DOJ Prosecutor Evan getting shot by a masked assailant, the eighth episode of the ongoing season of Criminal Minds opens on a somber note. Evan is revealed to have sustained minor injuries, and he recuperates, while Tara’s injuries appear critical as she undergoes surgery and, in a comatose state, clings to dear life. The assailant, who was seen wearing a Yase Otoko mask, is initially considered to be connected with Voit, but further investigation reveals the situation to be more complex than that assessment. Overall, with two more episodes remaining in this season, the eighth episode takes some time off of the central investigation to reflect upon Tara as a character, and is pretty self-contained in its approach.

Fans of Buffy The Vampire Slayer might see some of their favorites returning to the upcoming reboot. Sarah Michelle Gellar has teased to Vanity Fair Italia, that she hopes some of her former co-stars will appear in the supernatural series.

Gellar told the outlet that she and the show’s makers are working to balance new and old characters in the reboot. “My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well.”

The show was famous for not being afraid to kill off characters, even when it wasn’t the most popular decision with fans. Decades later and fans haven’t forgiven creator Joss Whedon for Tara’s demise.

Alyson Hannigan’s Willow seems a likely character to bring back. Xander, who is played by Nicholas Brendon, is less surefire due to the actor’s own personal issues.

Netflix’s My Life with the Walter Boys series creator, showrunner, and executive producer Melanie Halsall describes season two of the coming-of-age series as bigger and better than the first. “We’ve got massive set pieces in each episode, and the stories are more intricate. We found our feet with our characters, [and] the actors really understand their characters now,” offered Halsall in an interview with Tudum. “When I was coming back, I was excited to start shooting again because I knew we had great stories to tell.”

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot has received an exciting update from Sarah Michelle Gellar. Gellar played the titular character for seven seasons from 1997-2003, and stated for years that the series ran its course, and that she was done with the role. However, Gellar is returning for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot with Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao directing the pilot episode for Hulu and showrunners Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckerman. Gellar will be a recurring guest star and an executive producer. Ryan Kiera Armstrong will lead the series as a new Slayer, with no other casting announcements made yet.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Gellar assures that the reboot will be lighter in tone than the final few seasons of the original show. She also says the creative team is trying to find a balance with new and old characters, with her hope that everyone who was killed off can return.

Hindi cinema has often been accused of glamorizing provocative issues like stalking or assault, or non-consent in the name of love & love stories. The essence has enriched and changed over the years, but all was not lost even during the darkest times of Hindi cinema.

And the few films that I’m going to mention here have dealt with the emotion of love with utmost sincerity, respect, and sensitivity it deserves. These love stories might or might not be of the lead characters, but have lifted the spirit of the movie with immense dignity and passion. And I’m not even touching the wave of Parallel Cinema in the 70s & 80s that transported the Hindi movies to the shore of World Cinema. This list is mostly of commercial films driven by star power.

For those who have been worried or at least wondering if Scream will come to a screeching halt following the upcoming Scream 7, a recent statement from its creator, Kevin Williamson, leads us to believe it will go on and on — as long as the studio gives it the okay. While an eighth installment hasn’t been confirmed, Williamson shared his belief with the New York Post that the franchise has immense staying power no matter who stays or who goes, revealing,

“The thing about Scream is it can live in any form. And you can return to a character like Sidney and Gale and tell that story, and then the next one can be about someone else. I really like the idea that ‘Scream’ has evolved into a franchise that can expand in those ways.”

Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 6 gave us answers only to leave us in the dark again. Rebecca’s ex, Evan, returns, sending Tara into a jealous tizzy. A woman is buried alive, and a package locks down the FBI building. From one extreme to the next, Criminal Minds fans can’t rest when all the devils are roaming the world.

Episode 7 left me in shambles. The new network unleashes Sicarius Spiders into the mouths of their male victims, who are then placed inside balloons set to explode in their stomachs. I’m with Penelope on this one as she tries to stop the invisible spiders from crawling all over her. That’s not even the worst part of this week’s evidence: Voit agrees to help the Bau and comes face-to-face with his past, while Tara’s fate hangs in the balance.

Evan was introduced in Season 18 Episode 6, and honestly, he came across as too nice. There was the history, and Tara (Aisha Tyler) was concerned that he wanted to get back together with her girlfriend, but he said he just wanted to introduce them to his fiancée with dinner. Plus, he showed up just before the Bau was delivered the Yase-Otoko mask, representing a ghost suffering in hell and now the hallmark of Voit’s (Zach Gilford) network seemingly operating without him. It was a clear message. Now, in Season 18 Episode 7, Rebecca finds out Evan’s replacing her as the Department of Justice’s liaison to Voit,...

The seventh episode of the ongoing season of Criminal Minds: Evolution is undoubtedly the darkest one of the season so far, unfurling a series of events that will have a longstanding impact on the series moving forward. As seen previously, while assisting the Bau unit in their investigation by interrogating Kyle Mackey, Voit was able to tap into his psychopathic self but managed to retain his newfound humanity afterwards. Graber shared a cryptic message with Voit that hinted at more such organized serial killers being in action, a suspicion Kyle Mackey, the recently caught serial killer of Voit’s network, confirms. Criminal Minds: Evolution season 3 episode 5 helped me see crime scenes through the lens of grief. JJ has dealt with grief since childhood, but it hardly affected her work until now. Having her retell the case to Dr. Ochoa and Voit not only helped Voit communicate with the Brutal Man, but it also uncovered information about the new serial killer network.

Two killers sit across from each other, as Voit taps into his evil side to make the unsub believe he’s his leader. Voit remembers more than the Bau knew about, but is later fact-checked by Penelope. The Brutal Man met Voit when he was a kid. Did this memory break Voit’s brain while almost having the unsub try to commit suicide in front of him? It’s a high possibility, which is jaw-dropping.

Bau’s decision to include an amnesiac Voit in their investigation to destabilize the newly growing serial killer cult of Sicarius followers proves effective, as in the latest episode the team once again manages to apprehend a serial killer in action. Previously in Criminal Minds: Evolution, the killer—Ronald Graber, aka the Brutal Man—was captured by the team thanks to JJ finding a common connection regarding serial family murders. Revealed to be one of Voit’s ardent followers, Graber agrees to cooperate only if Sicarius, aka Voit, is brought in front of him to receive his message.

Criminal Minds: Evolution doesn’t believe in easing us into the season.

Following the premiere’s plunge into psychological torture and Voit’s return from the abyss, “The Zookeeper” delivers a searing, disturbing hour that deepens the central mystery, explores the high cost of trauma, and ends with a heartbreaking farewell to a character who has been with us since 2007.

There’s no sugar-coating this one. It was brutal, it was bold, and for longtime fans, it may be unforgivable.

Despite Voit having apparently taken down his serial killer network in the previous season, his dark influence continues to leave a major impact, as in the second episode of the ongoing Criminal Minds: Evolution, another of his disciples emerges—much to the dismay of the Bau team, who race against time to save the victim. In the previous episode, Rossi and JJ discover crucial clues about the attack on Voit in prison, which indicate that he had deliberately set up the assault in the first place. On the other hand, as a new serial killer named Franklin Fowler makes his presence known, Bau manages to save his newest victims—not before Fowler takes his own life before getting captured. It is revealed that Fowler was possibly a part of Voit’s serial killer network. A hospitalized Voit awakens from his comatose state and attacks a nurse.

The new season started with a bang, jumping right into the serial killer’s storyline.

The new season of Criminal Minds: Evolution is going to be “a really hot one” for deviant UnSubs, Aisha Tyler promised during her visit to TVLine’s NYC video studio this week.

The Season 18 premiere (now streaming on Paramount+) picks up six months after Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) took that beating in prison, and now, even in his (seemingly?) compromised state, the Bau will need to try and work with him, again, to shut down the network of serial killers left in Sicarius’ wake.

Criminal Minds: Evolution is back, and it wasted no time diving into dark waters — literally.

Criminal Minds Season 18 Episode 1, “Swimmer’s Calculus,” is a haunting, high-stakes season opener that plunges the Bau into the mind of a twisted killer who uses pools as a psychological battleground.

But as chilling as the unsub’s tactics are, it’s the psychological fallout, ongoing Voit storyline, and Tyler Green’s evolution (pun intended) that make this episode sink its hooks in deep.

Let’s start with the obvious: seeing anything in the opening scenes is nearly impossible. Paramount+, I beg you to invest in a flashlight or two. The darkness is so thick it borders on parody.

The season debuts with the "Swimmer's Calculus" episode, written by Breen Frazier and directed by Bethany Rooney, with every main character from Season 17 set to return, including the psychotic villain Elias Voit (Zach Gilford).
