  • Was booked to become the WWF Heavyweight Champion, but when Hulk Hogan's popularity really took off, Vince McMahon let Hulk keep the belt.
  • In early 1982, was inadvertently awarded the WWF World Heavyweight Championship belt by a dazed referee, after winning a match vs. Bob Backlund by countout (under WWF rules, titles could not change hands on a countout). Valentine demanded a rematch, got it (it took place in a steel cage) ... and lost.

  • Is the fifth longest single reigning WWF Intercontinental Champion of all time. His reign lasted 9 months, 12 days.
  • In July 1978, Valentine claimed his third NWA World Tag Team title along with Baron Von Raschke.
  • Lost to Rob Conway on an edition of Heat on 23rd October 2005. (October 2005)
  • Made his pro-wrestling debut in 1968.
  • Has held the WWF Intercontinental Title, WWF tag team title, WCW United States Tag Title, Mid Atlantic Tag Title AWF Tag Title, IWCCW Title, NWA United States Heavyweight Title (3 times) and NWA World Tag Title (3 times).
  • Son of the late professional wrestling legend Johnny Valentine
  • Considered by Roddy Piper to be his toughest opponent, and Valentine has implied that the feeling is mutual.
