  • After her marriage to Hans Bertram had failed, she fled to East Germany, which was quite unusual at that time, to avoid a battle over custody for her daughter Barbara.

  • Fourth child of Augustin Schreck, an opera singer and industrial, and his wife Luise Frieda.
  • Former mother-in-law of Charly Steinberger.
  • Grandmother of Florian and Christopher Steinberger and/or Uhlen.
  • Learned to dance at the Mary Wigman School of the Leipzig Conservatory. Subsequently studied acting under Lilly Ackermann in Berlin.
  • Often played fragile 19th century heroines opposite stars like Paul Wegener and Gustav Gruendgens.
  • Set up her own travelling theatrical troupe in the 1980's, travelling from place to place in a mobile home.
  • Her father was an opera singer.
