Became a Top of the Pops dancer, by then going by her adopted name of Claire MacAlpine. Tragically, she committed suicide by overdose in 1971 at the age of 15, leaving a diary in which she claimed to have been systematically abused by Jimmy Saville, John Peel, and others at the BBC.
