Veteran character actor and writer, on stage from 1895 and in films from 1920. Appointed professor in dramatics and directing at the University of Munich in 1929.

After the war he only took part in "Jugendliebe" (1947).

The actor Friedrich Ulmer was already a famous theater actor for many years when he appeared in a movies for the first time from 1920.

In the 30's he impersonated regularly support roles in well-known productions.
