Sonya Tuchmann

Sonya was born in Munich. Germany. In High School she joined the theatre program and was runner-up to Miss Teen Germany at the age of 15. Two years later she was offered a Modeling contract and started modeling all over Europe. While attending Munich University she split her home between Munich and Paris. Fashion Shows on the Paris Runways followed, as well as dozens of magazine covers, fashion spreads and over 40 TV commercials. In Paris she was cast in "L'As des As" starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, the most successful comedy in Europe of its year. European features and TV followed, among them "Spring Symphony" starring Nastassja Kinski and Herbert Groenemeyer, as well as "Die Supernasen" with Thomas Gottschalk, the highest grossing movie in Germany in its debut year. In 1988 Sonya moved to Los Angeles to continue her career in films and TV production. More TV commercials followed, as well as guest appearances in "Tatort" (comparable to CSI) and various other TV dramas. Sonya, an actress with excellent comedic timing and a skilled communicator, is a SAG member, a member of MPAA, Women in Film as well as FIND (Film Independent).

In 2013 she was one of the stars and producers in the ZDF German Reality Show "Haus und Hof in Hollywood" which airs on the ZDF channel and on-line at ZDF.de/ Mediathek.
