Goldie Hawn is setting the record straight on her relationship with Kurt Russell.

Despite being together for over 40 years, the two have never tied the knot. It’s a decision that comes out a desire for privacy than anything, according to the star.

“We had been married. And because when it doesn’t work out, it ends up to be a big business. Somebody has to own something. It’s always ugly,” she told anchor Chris Wallace on his show “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” on Max and CNN. “Somebody has to actually take a look and say how many how many divorces are fun? How many divorces actually don’t cost money? How many divorces make you even hate the person more than you did before? How many divorces have hurt children?”

After nearly 40 years together, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are one of Hollywood's most enduring couples. During the interview, Wallace asked Hawn why she and Russell never married, and she was quick to respond. "Why should we get married? Isn't that a better question?" she countered. Elvis is back in the building! Austin Butler is the latest actor to swivel his hips as the legendary Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s (“Moulin Rouge”) energetic new “Elvis,” which shakes up the biopic genre. Tom Hanks plays Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis’ mysterious Svengali-esque manager who made some startlingly bad choices for his client including turning down offers for him to appear in the original 1961 “West Side Story” and the Barbra Streisand 1976 remake of “A Star is Born.”

This new film has won the praise of his ex-wife Priscilla Presley, daughter Lisa Marie Presley and grandchildren including actress/director Riley Keough. Though Elvis died in 1977 at the age of 42, he’s been kept alive, at least in spirit-in numerous TV movies, miniseries, series and feature films.

One such movie was the long-forgotten 1993 NBC drama “Elvis & the Colonel: The Untold Story” starring Rob Youngblood as the young Elvis and Beau Bridges as Colonel Parker.

When I was asked to review a film from 1975 called Supercock, I immediately thought that it sounded like a film that may have starred the late adult film performer John Holmes who was known the world over for being extraordinarily, if not freakishly, well-endowed. September 18th is definitely a phan-tastic day to be a genre lover, as we’re finally getting individual Blu-ray releases for both Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead and Phantasm IV: Oblivion this week, courtesy of Well Go USA. Scream Factory has given two classic horrors an HD overhaul—Scream for Help and The Evil—that cult film enthusiasts should definitely check out, and there is a pair of Special Edition Blu-rays arriving on Tuesday from Arrow Video to boot: Horrors of Malformed Men and The Pyjama Girl Case.

In 1972, she recorded a country LP for Warner Brothers called Goldie, with the lead single titled "Pitta Patta." New York, Oct 31: Kate Hudson father, Bill Hudson has portrayed his ex-wife Goldie Hawn as a cocaine-sniffing sexpot who loved European men and referred to herself in the third person.

According to a nasty tell-all by Hudson, 62, life with comic actress was no laugh-riot.

In his book 'Two Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family', Hudson writes that his first date with Hawn at a Chinese restaurant in 1975 took a turn for the strange when he belatedly discovered that the man sitting across from him at their table of four was Hawn's husband.

He remarked to Hawn that the man, director Gus Trikonis, was acting rude.

Shout Factory has been doing a stellar job with their Roger Corman DVDs as of late. A ton of great classics have been re released to a new audience and with them are some pretty good extras. No one would have blamed them for just putting these titles out in bare bones release but every DVD I’ve watched from the set so far at least has a commentary track, which is something I can’t even say for most new films. Before I even get into the review everyone should just give a round of applause for the effort put into these releases. They truly feel like labors of love, like they were made especially for fans. So with all this awesomeness packed into the DVD what about the films themselves?

The Evil (1978)

In Gus Trikonis' The Evil, psychologist C.J. Arnold (Richard Crenna) and his wife Caroline (Joanna Pettet) buy a dilapidated mansion with a dark past in the hopes of restoring the estate and turning it into a drug rehabilitation clinic. With the help of some of his students and current patients, the doctor begins work on the mansion - but things take a nasty turn when an ancient spirit starts attacking people. When he opens a secret door in the basement of the house, the psychologist inadvertently releases the malevolent presence...and all hell breaks loose.

In terms of B-Movie ranking, The Evil isn't all that bad. The film takes an admittedly strong stance on the importance of sticking to a more classic ghost story rather than a sleazy, gory filled B-movie romp.

Another week in October, another bounty crop of horror DVDs and Blu-rays. This week we have home entertainment from recent theatrical releases of nightmares of the mind as well as re-releases of classic and campy horror, all with boatloads of extras.

Then there are other horror titles that are being re-released on Blu-ray or in packs for double dipping. On top of that, horror offerings from Asia, past seasons of TV shows, manga, novels, and even video games are all vying for our pocketbooks. And we still have four more weeks of October to go.

Next year October needs to begin in August.

Hollywood veteran Goldie Hawn has laughed off old reports she plans to wed long-term lover Kurt Russell, insisting their relationship is so strong because they are not married. The blonde actress, 59, started dating 54-year-old Russell after meeting on the set of Swing Shift in 1982, following two broken marriages to Gus Trikonis and Bill Hudson. In her autobiography A Lotus Grows In The Mud, Hawn explains, "Swing Shift was a bitter experience, but without it I might never have met Kurt. He is the love of my life and we're now one of Hollywood's longest-established couples. We are often asked why we have never married. I laugh it off and say, 'Been there, done that.' It didn't work for either of us." Russell was previously married to Season Hubley, mother of his son Boston.
