Hisayuki Toriumi was born on October 29, 1941. He was a director and producer, known for Speed Racer (1967), Gatchaman The Movie (1978), G-Force: Guardians of Space (1987) and Gatchaman (1972), He also created and directed the Shimajiro TV series in 1993. He died on January 23, 2009 in Tokyo, Japan.
