  • Trivia
In 1936 he published his famous book "Zolotoj kljutchik ili Priklyucheniya Buratino" (The golden key, or Buratino's adventures), a Russian adaptation of the novel "Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi. Originally he was working on a translation of the book after living in Italy from 1923 to 1924 but then started to change the story with new plot elements and names. So Buratino was created by Father Carlo, an old barrel organist and Guiseppe the carpenter. Also his nose doesn't grow.
