Norman Tokar (November 25, 1919 - April 6, 1979) was an American director, actor and occasionally writer and producer of serial television and feature films. He directed many of the early episodes of "Leave it to Beaver," but found his greatest success directing over a dozen films for Walt Disney Productions, spanning the 1950s to the 1970s.

    Stage and radio child actor in the 1930s. After wartime service in the U.S. Army Signals Corps, Tokar worked in television for several years as regular helmsman for Leave It to Beaver (1957). On the strength of this, he was signed by the Disney Organization in 1963 to handle assorted comedies and light family fare.
