Known slightly for playing exotic roles in the 40s, she was chosen (unknown at the time) by Cecil B. DeMille to play "Tremartini" in the film L'Odyssée du docteur Wassell (1944) over the likes of Simone Simon, Yvonne De Carlo and Elena Verdugo.

Moved to L.A. in 1942, after her father was employed at Lockheed.

Acted in her father's repertory company from the age of twelve.
