Bigfoot vs. Werewolves Film Coming
Outlier and Pathbender have scored the film and TV rights to Jeff Frank's supernatural thriller graphic novel "Savage".

James Cotten ("La linea") is attached to direct a film based on the property which follows a mysterious killer who is hunting down supernatural creatures.

While looking for a prodigy to continue his work, he finds himself in the midst of a battle between the legendary Bigfoot and a pack of werewolves.

E. Thompson and John Adams will produce, and Mark Morgan will executive produce. Morgan and Thompson previously worked on the "Percy Jackson" and "Twilight" film series.

Its Bigfoot Vs. Werewolves in Savage Comic Book Adapation
Production companies Outlier and Pathbender are joining forces for the comic book adaptation Savage, which features a massive war between Bigfoot and werewolves.

Jeffrey Frank, Dan Wickline and Steve Niles created the comic book with artist Mike Mayhew, which follows a mysterious killer who hunts down supernatural creatures. In the midst of his search for a prodigy to continue his life's work, the hunter finds himself in the middle of an all-out war between Bigfoot and a pack of werewolves.

James Cotten (La Linea) is directing, although no screenwriter or cast members have been attached at this time. Pathbender's E. Thompson (Hansel and Gretel Get Baked) and John Adams are producing, with Outlier's Mark Morgan (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2) serving as executive producer. No production schedule was given.

Mark Morgan most recently produced Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

TheWrap is reporting that Image Comics series Savage is getting a big screen adaptation, and the main selling point is this: Bigfoot vs. Werewolves. La Linea 's James Cotten will direct the film, which is based on the comic created by Jeff Frank. E. Thompson, and John Adams of Pathbenders will produce. It looks like we're in for a very unique monster mash, as The Wrap report that Outlier and their new production partner Pathbender have acquired film and TV rights for the graphic novel Savage, which was created and co-written by Jeff Frank and 30 Days Of Night's Steve Niles. Described as a "supernatural thriller", the story follows "a mysterious killer who is hunting down supernatural creatures. While looking for a prodigy to continue his work, he finds himself in the midst of a battle between the legendary Bigfoot and a pack of werewolves." Pathbender’s E. Thompson and John Adams will produce, with Outlier’s Mark Morgan (The Twilight Saga) executive producing. I haven't read this myself but it certainly sounds interesting. Any Savage fans out there?...

San Diego Comic-Con 2013: New Adaptation on its Way Looking to Turn a Prophet
All things Comic-Con are regrettably in the air, and while we loathe this time of year as it's exhausting, we are happy to see cool news come out of it. Next out the gate? Another comic adaptation from the makers of The Twilight Saga.

According to The Wrap, Outlier has acquired feature film rights to the comic series Prophet, an apocalyptic crime thriller from author Daniel Corey, whose acclaimed Moriarty was published by Image Comics. Outlier is a Los Angeles-based production company founded by Twilight producer Mark Morgan and E. Thompson (Rites of Spring).

Comic Synopsis:

Prophet follows a killer-for-hire afflicted with supernatural visions who realizes his destiny is to use his special skills to wage war against demons and drug lords. Set in present-day Mexico, Prophet must learn to accept his fate: that he is the latest in a long line of visionary warriors.
