Son of the late Rufus "Walking the Dog" Thomas and brother of soul
great Carla Thomas, Marvell has been a mainstay in the Memphis music
scene for most of his life. He is an outstanding keyboard artist and
has appeared on a number of hit records, especially during the glory
days of Stax Records. You can sometimes catch him performing on Beale
Street, when he's not touring. And catch him if you can. Marvell is a
wonderful human being, one of the nicest guys and finest musicians
around.
