  • In 1946, co-wrote and performed in "Exercise Bowler" in London. This play was a creation of the Reunion Theatre Association, a group created to help rehabilitate British theatre actors who returned from World War 2. The play is about the reality of war and the challenges the characters face when they return to civilian life. Torin was also a co-founder of the Reunion Theatre Association.
  • In 1937, portrayed both the Ghost and Claudius in Hamlet at Elsinore, Denmark
  • Performed in a number of Shakespearean plays at the Old Vic from 1927 to 1929
  • Made two documentaries: Legends of the Ring: Sugar Ray Robinson, in 1955, and Just the Facts: The United States Constitution and Bill of Rights, in 1956.
  • (1936) He acted in William Shakespeare's play, "Hamlet," at the Westminster Theatre in London, England with Christopher Oldham, Gillian Scaife, Hermione Hannen, John Moody, Sir Anthony Quayle (Horatio), Mark Dignam, Cecil Trouncer, and Eric Wynn Owen in the cast. Michael Macowan was director and Peter Goffin was designer.
