    • Walter Tetley was born on June 2, 1915 in New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Rocky and His Friends (1959), The Gorilla Man (1943) and Boy Slaves (1939). He died on September 4, 1975 in Los Angeles County, California, USA.

  • Most famous for playing Leroy Forrester, the nephew and ward of the Great Gildersleeve on old time radio from 1941 to 1957.
  • There is a biography book written on Walter by Ben Ohmart, using Walter's personal scrapbooks that his mother kept, including a notebook full of every radio credit and personal appearance he ever did as a child actor.
  • Body cremated and remains were placed in an unmarked grave.
  • In 1971, he was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident and used a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
