Another Set of Universal Monsters Posters from Mondo
Mondo has announced that they will be releasing another set of posters online from their Universal Monsters exhibit. Continue reading for more details and a look at posters featuring Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, Creature From the Black Lagoon, The Wolf Man, and The Bride of Frankenstein:

“On Monday, we’ll be releasing the remaining prints from our Universal Monsters exhibit currently on display at our gallery here in Austin. We’ll have posters by Martin Ansin, Ken Taylor, Kevin Tong, Francesco Francavilla and Phantom City Creative. As with Laurent’s posters we released on Tuesday, each artist delivered striking and beautiful designs perfectly in line with their film and monster. We have posted detail shots of every poster over on our blog for you to check out right Here.

Mondo's next gallery show will be its biggest to date and will celebrate the art of Universal's Monsters. The show will feature the art of Martin Ansin, Rick Baker, Jason Edmiston, Jc Richard, Drew Struzan, Ken Taylor, Kevin Tong and many more. It kicks off on October 19th in Austin, TX. All last week I was writing up articles after watching three of the classic Universal monster movies for the first time upon receiving the Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection on Blu-ray. Updated! Exclusive First Look at Mondo's New Poster for Karloff's The Mummy
The Mondo Gallery in Austin, Texas is going to profile the classic Universal Monsters with the works of dozens of world-renowned artists including Martin Ansin, Rick Baker, Jc Richard, Kevin Tong, Ken Taylor and many more.  The gallery show runs October 19th - November 10th, with an opening reception on October 19 from 7 - 10pm.  The gallery will also include original, never-before-seen works from legendary poster artist Drew Struzan. 

This morning, we have an exclusive peek at the show with a piece by artist Laurent Durieux who did a take on Karl Freund's The Mummy with Boris Karloff.  You can find a full look inside.

Durieux was born in Belgium and studied graphic design at the College of Advertising and Design in Brussels. After over 20 years as an illustrator, he made his way into the world of screen-printed movie posters, creating new art for films such as The Iron Giant and King Kong.
