Glenn Taranto

Trivia

Glenn Taranto

Edit
  • Saw nearly every Broadway production between 1981 and 1992. Also served as a seat-filler at the Tony Awards during this period.
  • During high school and college Glenn spent his summers, at the Jersey Shore, working as a boardwalk barker. One season he and, future Soprano star, James Gandolfini worked together on Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
  • Founding Member of Bobby Moresco's The Actor's Gym.
  • Glenn Taranto was one of 20 guest programmers selected from Turner Classic Movies' 2014 Ultimate Fan Video contest. He chose the 1942 British film "Went The Day Well?", introducing it with venerable TCM host Robert Osborne on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. That airing marked the TCM premiere for this classic World War II tale of small town heroics.
  • Glenn Taranto's turn as Mr. Novak on the May 4th, 2021 episode of General Hospital marked one of the longest spans between performances of an actor on the show. Glenn was previously seen as a Ballistics Expert, testifying in a court case, on December 9th, 1994. That's approximately 26 years, 4 months and 25 days between appearances.
  • At the very start of his career, Glenn was an extra in several major films shot in and around New York City. He can clearly be seen carrying a J&B box off a truck and into the Bamboo Lounge in Goodfellas (1990).
  • Charlize Theron who voices Morticia Addams in the 2019 animated feature, The Addams Family, was in In the Valley of Elah (2007) with Glenn Taranto who played Gomez Addams in Fox Family's The New Addams Family (1998-1999).
