  • Filmed several scenes for the William Friedkin movie Police fédérale, Los Angeles (1985), but her scenes were cut before the release.
  • Was the original voice of "Jessica Rabbit" in Qui veut la peau de Roger Rabbit (1988), for Steven Spielberg.
  • William Friedkin was so disappointed that her scenes had to be cut due to story changes, that he used her footage in the anniversary release of Police fédérale, Los Angeles (1985).
  • Modeled in NY as a child appearing in the magazines Vogue, Town and Country, McCalls, Seventeen. She was also The Denim Girl.
  • Granddaughter of New York newspaper journalist/editor, three time Pulitzer Prize winner and founding member of the Algonquin Round Table, Herbert B. Swope Jr..
  • The creators of the daytime soap opera, Ryan's Hope (1975) wrote the part of "Dr. Faith Coleridge" for her, but she had already committed to star in the original Gardner McKay-written, Norman Lloyd-produced PBS show, Me (1973), with Richard Dreyfuss and Geraldine Fitzgerald.
  • Daughter of director Herbert B. Swope Jr. and actress Margaret Hayes.
  • Mother, with John G. Avildsen, of daughter Bridget Avildsen (b. 2 October 1993).
  • Married to film director John G. Avildsen from February 27, 1987-December 06, 2006. They met when she was brought in to audition for him in Los Angeles for his first television movie. He liked her work and kept her auditioning for over six hours with many different actors. Although the network ultimately gave the part to a more seasoned actress, he got her agent's phone number off the Actors Call Sheet to let her know personally how much he appreciated her fine work, and if it were up to him, she would have gotten the role. He then proceeded to court her for eight months from his home in New York until she finally agreed to go out with him. They saw each other off and on for six years until they tied the knot.
  • Studied with Mira Rostova at The Actors Studio.
  • In I Love You, Rosey Malone (1977), she played Paul Michael Glaser's love interest. As if he were looking for Tracy his entire life, Paul went on to marry a woman---Elizabeth Glaser---who was her doppelganger. Next, he married another woman---Tracy Barone---whose name is a homophone for "Rosie Malone", the character Tracy played. Not only that, Glaser's wife #2 shares the same first name as her.
  • Niece of Dorothy McGuire and John Swope.
  • Received her Equity card at the age of 13 from the Peterborough Players in New Hampshire.
  • Ex-stepmother of Anthony G. Avildsen and Jonathan Avildsen.
