Ronald Sutherland was born on 10 November 1933 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was a writer, known for Suzanne (1980). He was married to Velma-Jean Carter. He died on 29 November 2013 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Educated at the Montreal School. Earned both his BA in 1954 and MA in 1955 from McGill University, attended the University of Glasgow and received his PhD from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1960. He taught English at the Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec beginning in 1959.
