Tim's trademark tattoo, the crossed arrows representing the Native American symbol for friendship, makes a cameo in every one of his directorial efforts. In 2001 Maniacs (2005), it is on the upper arm of Ricky (Brian Gross); In Driftwood (2006), it is the character of Dean (Russell Sams) who bears the mark; In 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screamss (2010), it is on the upper arm of Falcon (Trevor Wright). In Chillerama (2011), it is on Sullivan himself in the role of Coach Tuffman.

His name and picture can be seen on a "Wanted Poster" in the police station scene of Jeepers Creepers : Le Chant du diable (2001). The film's storyboard artist, Brad Parker, is a friend of Tim's and was responsible for this much sighted cameo.
