Ted Lasso season 4’s release date is quite some time away. Yet, fans crave more, and there are only so many times one can rewatch the show. Thankfully, there’s a replacement coming soon- Chad Powers, releasing on September 30, 2025, on Hulu. Co-created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, the show follows a down-on-his-luck former college football star, Russ Holliday, who changes his looks to try out for a downtrodden Southern university team, the Georgia Ducks.
It’s expected that this Chad Powers show will fill the Ted Lasso-sized void left in people’s hearts since it has the same underdog, heartfelt comedy style going for it as well. Chad Powers,...

At “Saturday Night Live,” there’s drama before you get to the comedy.
Every year at about this time, credulous observers of the venerable late-night NBC showcase get flustered by a series of cast changes that roll out about four to six weeks ahead of the next season premiere of the program. Sometimes, “SNL” just adds a few featured players. In other years, a good chunk of cast veterans opt to depart. At some points in time, cost constraints or network edicts have forced executive producer Lorne Michaels to make personnel moves he might not otherwise wish to put into practice.
The increase in hand-wringing around the process, which has become an ingrained element of the “SNL” calendar, is more humorous than some of “SNL’s” skits.
In recent days, three young members of the “SNL” cast — featured player Emil Wakim and early-tenured Devon Walker and Michael Longfellow — have announced their exits from the show,...

Since its debut in 2020, Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso has been a cultural phenomenon, featuring humor, heart, and sports in a way very few shows manage. After the heartfelt finale of Season 3 in May 2023, many of us assumed the story had ended, but in March 2025, the network surprised its fans by renewing the show for a fourth season.
Across its 34-episode run, Ted Lasso has done it all. It has performed remarkably well, receiving critical acclaim, plenty of awards, and, of course, endless fan love, yet not every episode was equally praised.
Sure, most of its episodes are highly rated, but there are a few that drew lower ratings despite...

When it comes to romance, Elsie Hewitt has definitely had a headline-worthy roster. Before her current chapter with Pete Davidson, the London-born model was best known for her brief but tumultuous relationship with Ryan Phillippe back in 2017, which ended amidst public legal drama and allegations of assault that were ultimately settled out of court. After Phillippe, Elsie dated music producer Benny Blanco from 2019 to 2020—this time the breakup was far less dramatic. More recently, rumors linked her to Jason Sudeikis in early 2024, but nothing was ever confirmed by either star.
Elsie first started making news with Pete Davidson in March 2025, quickly becoming one of the most-watched couples in celebrity news.

Thus, to understand how optimism played a large role in the climax and also became the key to the ending of the film, we need to understand the ending of Joel’s decision to come clean and open up to his wife about his problems.

Although Ted Lasso quickly became a fan favorite after its August 2020 premiere, it’s surprising to note that the Season 1 pilot is actually the lowest-rated episode on IMDb, with a score of just 7.8 out of 10. By comparison, Season 1 overall holds a strong 8.5 rating, with most episodes rated above 8, and the finale soaring as high as 9.1.
Despite having a low rating, the pilot episode of Ted Lasso reels viewers right in and makes them root for Jason Sudeikis’ Coach Lasso. Even though he clearly does not understand English football, and the AFC Richmond team and its owner, Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), are convinced that he will ruin things, Ted believes they will be fine.

While I love both Ted Lasso and Shrinking, only one of them addresses the subject of mental health right, and that is the former. Now, I am all for ‘Jimmying’, but there are some lines that therapists must not cross.
Both shows center on people in pain, reaching for connection as a way through it. Yet they diverge in how they portray care itself, what therapy looks like, where boundaries lie, and how growth actually happens. One favors careful modeling of help-seeking and the slow, awkward progress of treatment; the other embraces messy, rule-breaking catharsis for big comic and emotional payoffs.

In addition, speaking to THR at a recent New York screening of his latest movie, Honey Don’t!, now in theaters, Day said that he “had some conversations about it with some people involved in front and behind the camera,” suggesting that his and Aniston’s desire to return to the project might be more than idle speculation.
He added, “We’ll see — hopefully there’s an appetite at the studio.”

Charli Xcx began recording pop songs when she was only 14, posting music on her MySpace page as a means of distribution. Her music led to gigs at several underground raves where the young singer wasn't technically old enough to enter. Nonetheless, she was supported by her parents and continued to pursue pop music as a career path. She signed a contract with Asylum Records in 2010 when she was only 18, still in school, and trying to balance her human life and her professional life.

When Jennifer Aniston really wants something, even as simple as a wig, she is willing to go to battle over it.
The Emmy-winning actress recently shared during an interview for Vanity Fair‘s “Rewatch” video series that she fought with Warner Bros. to be able to wear a brunette wig in 2011’s Horrible Bosses, as they preferred her beloved blonde hair.
“I fought for that wig, by the way. That was not an easy battle,” Aniston said. “I wanted [my character] to look different. The argument from the studio, and I am sorry to call you out, was that, ‘We’re just afraid it won’t look like you.’ And I said, ‘That’s kind of the point!’ I still think it might look a little bit like me. After two years, Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso is officially lacing up his sneakers again. Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that season 4 of the beloved Emmy-winning sports dramedy is in development and expected to be released next year. Speaking to Variety, CEO of Warner Bros, Channing Dungey said,
Can you believe we are back in production? This was one of those ones where I was like, ‘I don’t know if we were going to get there,’ but we are here now. I’m really excited about the new cast.
With fan-favorite cast including Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift all returning, the new season has already started filming. Dungey further added,
We don’t have a firm date yet from Apple. We’re talking right now about mid-year next year, so your guess is as good as mine as to what that actually means.

Jennifer Aniston recently told Vanity Fair during a career retrospective video interview that she battled Warner Bros. to wear a brunette wig in the 2011 comedy “Horrible Bosses.” The studio wanted Aniston on-screen with her iconic blonde locks.
“I fought for that wig. That was not an easy battle,” Aniston said. “I wanted [my character] to look different. Aniston starred in “Horrible Bosses” as Dr. Julia Harris, a sexually aggressive dentist who is harassing her assistant (Charlie Day). The raunchy R-rated comedy, along with 2013’s “We’re the Millers,” was seen as a big change in pace for Aniston...

Louie Zakarian sculpts the faces of comedy. As the makeup department head at “Saturday Night Live,” Zakarian spends long hours and nearly sleepless nights in the hallowed halls of 30 Rock and the show’s West Side studio.
This year, he and his team earned nods for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup (for the Timothée Chalamet-hosted episode) and Outstanding Makeup for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program (for “SNL50: The Anniversary Special“). Prosthetic dog noses, superfluous AI appendages, a mimicry of Donald Trump’s neck, numerous callback characters from “SNL” history and makeup for dozens of anniversary-related guests helped bring Zakarian’s crew the cross-category recognition.
In the prosthetics realm, his team is competing against effects-heavy contenders like “The Last of Us” and “The Penguin.” This is the first time in eight years that “SNL” has muscled its way in alongside the kind of large-scale dramas that almost always dominate the category.

Netflix seems to have found its Coach Lasso in Nathan, a character from the upcoming adult animated series Haunted Hotel, who gives off strong Ted Lasso vibes in the recently dropped trailer on Netflix’s YouTube channel. The most striking part is perhaps that Nathan is rocking the same thick, mid-brown mustache that has become Coach Lasso’s defining feature over the years.
Not to mention the side-swept hair and the laid-back styling with the cozy sweater and simple, white collared shirt. It feels like the animators of the show ripped it straight from a Jason Sudeikis reference board.
Netflix is opening the doors to Haunted Hotel, a series that features a family with members from both the human and the supernatural worlds, in September. One of these members is the ghost named Nathan, who helps his alive sister, Katherine, run the hotel he haunts. Will Forte voices the character.

Coach Lasso is returning to work, as the fourth season of the hit sports comedy series, Ted Lasso, has reportedly begun filming in West London recently. Over a week ago, it was reported that Season 4 had wrapped filming in Kansas City. Ted had returned to Kansas at the end of Season 3, so it makes sense that the upcoming season will feature scenes from there.
On August 11, local news outlet Teddington Town reported that at least four of the regular cast members, Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein, and Hannah Waddingham, were seen on the same sets where previous seasons of the show were shot.
Prop-filled trucks and numerous cars of the crew members were seen parked near the Hayes & Yeading Football Club, where most of the football scenes from the show have been filmed. Filming is expected to last several months in London, which is no surprise considering that is...

Bill Hader has finally revealed the real reason he skipped the “Saturday Night Live” 50th anniversary show, saying his crippling anxiety prevented him from participating in the primetime special. (A representative for Hader previously told Variety he had a “longstanding scheduling conflict.”)
On “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” Hader revealed that Andy Samberg called him about an idea for a digital short about how everyone at “SNL” has anxiety. Hader said he wasn’t sure he wanted to be in the sketch, and when Samberg asked why, Hader responded: “Because I’m anxious!”
Hader said Bowen Yang ended up playing the part Samberg had conceived for him, and “he was great.”
“I was really shaky and everything. I was really anxious,” Hader said of his time on the NBC sketch comedy show. Hader was an “SNL” cast member from 2005 to 2013, and he came back to host twice. In the years since,...

Hannah Waddingham and Keira Knightley together in a psychological thriller? Sign me up! Both of them will star in Netflix’s The Woman in Cabin 10. The upcoming film is directed by Simon Stone and is based on Ruth Ware’s bestselling 2016 novel of the same name. The film is about a journalist who watches someone get thrown overboard a luxury yacht. However, she is told that nothing happened and that all the crew and passengers are accounted for.
Even though no one believes her, she puts her life in danger to uncover the truth. Having Knightley and Waddingham in it will surely infuse the suspense-filled narrative with powerful female leads who can give the characters the gravitas and range they require. Waddingham broke out as a powerhouse performer after holding her own as Rebecca Welton opposite Ted Lasso co-stars Jason Sudeikis and Brett Goldstein.

Subhash K Jha celebrates Irrfan Khan snd Dulquer’s comedy drama, Karwaan, which hit the big screen in 2018. We also hear from the director about working with the Irrfan Khan on Karwaan and more.
Excavating humour from the innards of mortality is never easy. Writer-Director Akarsh Khurana attempts the near-impossible and comes up with a film that never offends, even when it poses some serious problems of pacing.
You know that the film is looking for ways to keep the journey going when there are unnecessary detours on the way. And why not?! Dulquer’s Avinash is a repressed unhappy 10-5 geek who hates his bullying boss (Adhaar Khurana) and wants nothing more, nothing less, than to break out of his executive dungeon and …well, just shoot pictures with an actual camera, not its digital doppelgangers.

When our beloved coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) set out to lead his life in AFC Richmond, little did he know that he would grow to become one of the most loved and revered characters in television history. Across the 3 spectacular seasons of the show, Ted has been the epitome of compassion and vulnerability, depicting that it is okay to not be okay. With Ted Lasso season 4 on its way, this is the best time to reminisce about the impact of the show.
While decades have shown male-led characters to be macho and unaffected by loss or heartbreak, Ted Lasso is refreshingly weak and not afraid to tell people that he, too, needs a good cry sometimes. He hands out shortbread, apologizes earnestly, and battles panic attacks bravely. He rewrites the rules of “being a man” and shows the world that vulnerability isn’t weakness, it is a superpower.

Ted Lasso season 4 is currently in production, and casting calls for various extras have already gone out. With Kansas City seemingly the main filming hub for now, the fandom has been rife with speculation about the plotline. They are especially interested in seeing what will happen to AFC Richmond now that Jason Sudeikis’ optimistic coach has departed the club.
The bond between Ted Lasso and the club has always been the heart of the show.
