Elsie Hewitt’s Dating History ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Elsie Hewitt’s romantic past has taken its fair share of turns. The model-turned-actress, who is now glowing with excitement as she awaits her first child with SNL favorite Pete Davidson, didn’t land at happily-ever-after overnight. From legal heat with Ryan Phillippe to flirty posts with Benny Blanco, a short stint with Jason Sudeikis, and now baby headlines with Pete Davidson, Elsie Hewitt’s dating trail is star-studded.
1. Ryan Phillippe
During April 2017, Elsie Hewitt and Ryan Phillippe were initially spotted together. Things took a dark turn just three months in. By July, they’d called it quits, and weeks later, Hewitt filed a civil lawsuit against Philippe. At 21, she accused the Cruel Intentions actor, then 43, of assaulting her during an argument at his L.A. residence.

Recently, I re-watched Ted Lasso to brush up on the lore and prepare myself for the upcoming season. One thing that I stuck out like a sore thumb that I did not realize the first time was when, in Season 2, Episode 7, titled “Headspace,” Nate kisses Keeley. It was a shocking scene that I was surprised to see in the final cut!
Even Reddit threads made it weirder for me to analyse the scene. This became a notable scene that has gone around and become a point of discussion. Both the characters had their space and situations, but what is more to see through is the fact that Keeley is already Roy’s girlfriend at this point, not to mention the issue of consent.

For a long time, Ted Lasso was Apple TV+’s undisputed comedy king. The feel-good soccer series helped put the streaming platform on the map, pulling in massive viewership and earning 20 Emmy nominations in its debut season. Over its full run, the show racked up an impressive total of 61 Primetime Emmy nominations. But Apple hasn’t slowed down since. The platform has continued to build a reputation for bold, inventive storytelling with series like Severance, Murderbot, and Your Friends & Neighbors, each one delivering standout performances and top-tier production value.
Now, a new champion has taken the comedy crown. The Studio, starring Seth Rogen, has officially surpassed Ted Lasso’s first-season Emmy count, making it the most decorated freshman comedy in Apple TV+ history and signaling a major shift in the streamer’s comedic legacy.

A new chapter begins for Pete Davidson and it comes with a baby on the way. The Saturday Night Live alum, 31, is officially expecting his first child with model and actress Elsie Hewitt, the British-born beauty he’s been quietly dating since early 2025. What started with a Pda-filled beach day in Palm Beach has now blossomed into a full-fledged family unit, complete with red carpet appearances and a new Brooklyn address they now call home (per People).
But long before she became Davidson’s partner in parenting, Hewitt’s love life had a few Hollywood headliners. From Benny Blanco, now engaged to Selena Gomez, to even a deeply controversial legal drama with Ryan Phillippe, Hewitt’s romantic history reads more like a casting list than a dating timeline.

A faux subpoena, a live audience, and a famous TikToker with a flair for dramatics, Zack Peter’s staged legal ambush on stage this week wasn’t just comedic timing; it was cultural commentary. In a moment that instantly recalled Olivia Wilde’s very real and very public serving of custody papers in 2022, Peter’s parody struck a nerve, not just because it was eerily familiar, but because it hit at the heart of the ongoing legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.

Taron Egerton recently lit the world on fire with his performance in Carry-On, the Netflix original holiday thriller that rose the ranks to become one of the streamer’s most popular movies. However, his latest role comes in the form of a gritty detective series that’s been dominating streaming charts. Egerton stars alongside Jurnee Smollett and Rafe Spall in Smoke, the true-crime series following a troubled detective and an arson investigator who chase down two serial arsonists. The first four episodes of Smoke are currently streaming on Apple TV+, and the show is charting for Apple in more than 40 countries. It received mild reviews out of the gate thus far, earning a 70% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 72% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter.
Smoke is the perfect show to watch for fans who are missing True Detective, particularly the first season of the hit HBO series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

Hollywood satire The Studiohas set a new record at the Emmys. The Seth Rogen-fronted show pulled in a whopping 23 Emmy nominations in its freshman year, passing the mark previously set by fellow Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lasso.
Per Variety, Ted Lasso scored a grand total of 20 Emmy nominations when it first came on the scene, and went home with seven Emmys, including acting awards for Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jason Sudeikis. Those wins massively increased the profiles of both the stars and the series -- so if The Studio wins big, it could follow in Ted Lasso's footsteps and become one of TV's biggest shows.
The Studio is created by Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory and Frida Perez. It follows the fortunes of studio head Matt Remick (played by Rogen), who just wants to make movies -- but finds this desire doesn't always line up with the need to make money.

A fictional studio head has broken the Emmy record.
Apple TV+ continues its awards season dominance as its freshman comedy series “The Studio” shattered records Tuesday, receiving 23 Emmy nominations — the most ever for a comedy series in its first season. It also tied the record set by “The Bear” last year, as the most nominated comedy series ever.
The previous record was set in 2021 by “Ted Lasso,” another Apple TV+ production, which scored 20 nominations during its debut year. That series went on to win seven Emmys, including three for acting and outstanding comedy series.
Created by Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, Frida Perez and Seth Rogen — who also directed, wrote and star in the series — “The Studio” follows an embattled Hollywood studio head struggling to balance corporate demands with his passion for producing quality films. The ensemble cast also includes Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders and Kathryn Hahn.

After having a small role opposite Tom Cruise earlier this year in Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, one Ted Lasso star just dropped a major update on the future of the show. Starring in one of the leading roles of Rebecca Welton is Hannah Waddingham, the owner of AFC Richmond, who initially tries to run the team into the ground before buying into Ted’s (Jason Sudeikis) kindness. Rebecca has grown into a fan-favorite character through three seasons, and Waddingham has blossomed into a star because of it.

While Bill Lawrence and company may have thought they could move the focus onto Shrinking, which is Lawrence’s newest Apple TV+ comedy hit, he will be back on the playing fields soon with Ted Lasso coming back for a fourth season. Jason Sudeikis doesn’t think the viewers gave the third season of Ted Lasso a proper go, even saying they may have been a little too eager to judge rather than accept changes. “Much like live theater, the show, especially Season 3, was asking the audience to be an active participant. Some people want to do that, some people don’t. Some people want to judge—they don’t want to be curious.”

Ted Lasso, the feel-good sports comedy from Apple TV+, has captured hearts worldwide with its optimism, wit, and endlessly kind title character. The buzz is building again after the announcement of a new season, and fans are ready to welcome back the moustache-flaunting coach who always believes in you.
But here’s something many might not know: Ted Lasso didn’t start as a wholesome TV hero. In fact, his first appearance came in a 2013 NBC commercial promoting Premier League soccer, and he was nothing like the version we adore today. That original Ted? Loud, clueless, and borderline obnoxious. It’s a wild contrast to the lovable underdog coach we know now. And honestly, if that 2013 Ted had led the Apple TV+ show, we probably wouldn’t be talking about him at all.

“Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham says she’s been thinking a lot about what her character Rebecca Welton has been up to since the Apple TV+ Series finished its third and, as many involved thought, seemingly final season.
Well, she’s about to find out. A fourth season will soon begin shooting. The streamer announced in March that the soccer comedy had been renewed.
“It feels like it was the most beautiful, beloved dog that was buried, and now we’ve exhumed it, and I am here for it,” Waddingham told me Sunday at the “Smurfs” premiere in Los Angeles. “I was hankering and hankering and hankering and hankering to see where Rebecca had gone, where she was going to. She’s my girl. She’s in my bloodstream, so I’m thrilled that it’s been exhumed.”

Stick, an Apple TV+ show starring Owen Wilson, Peter Dager, and Lilli Kay, is an American sports comedy in the vein of Ted Lasso. While the latter pursues football, the former showcases the world of golf. Both shows, though different in their storylines, characterizations, and cinematography, depict lives that revolve around chasing their respective dreams and making the most out of their passion. Ted Lasso on Apple TV+ is the breakout comedy and emotional juggernaut that has captured hearts globally. We love the show for its intricately woven storyline and heartfelt emotions. Surreally, two of its most hated episodes are “Carol of the Bells” and “Beard After Hours“, which weren’t even meant to be in the original script.
We think it would have been great if they hadn’t been added, as they brought a fresh perspective but also created a sense of dissonance. Let’s dissect them to find what went wrong and why they will always stand out in the show like a sore thumb.
Carol Of The Bells: This Heartwarming Ted Lasso Holiday Episode Was Off-Script
Season 2 episode 4, “Carol of the Bells,” was a Christmas special episode that dropped mid-season. Apple TV+ had ordered 12 episodes for season two instead of 10, and the makers had to come up with something.

‘Ted Lasso’ Opening Its Season 3 Finale With This Scene Might Be the Show’s Most Unhinged Moment Yet
Ted Lasso concluded its Season 3 in May 2023, leaving the audience wondering about the most talked-about moment of the series. The 12th episode, the series finale, “So Long, Farewell,” though bamboozled right from the start, gave the viewers an emotional and moving end to the show. Yet, one moment had everyone talking, prompting that ‘wait, what!’ reaction all over.
The “gas leak opening scene” was a truly unhinged moment, marking a hilarious kickstart to the episode. Though chaotic and unexpected, it was so perfectly depicted that it defied expectations, proving why Ted Lasso keeps us on our toes. The director of the episode in an interview with Cinema Blend, revealed the impact the scene has on the overall run.

The return of Dana Carvey to Saturday Night Live was one of season 50's highlights. The former SNL cast member took on the role of President Joe Biden, an experience the comedian called "surreal."
Carvey made a splash with his Biden impression during the Saturday Night Live season 50 premiere on September 28, 2024. He became the eighth different performer to play Biden on SNL over the years, joining a list that also includes Jason Sudeikis, Jim Carey, and Kevin Nealon.
But Carvey perhaps had the hardest task when it came to playing Biden. According to the comedian, Biden's mental state in 2024 made impersonating him a touchy subject. "I mean, it was obvious," Carvey said on his podcast, Fly on the Wall. "But it was a delicate thing in the comedy world. There were a lot of people who did not want to do anything that would kind of ding him in an awkward way.

‘Ted Lasso’ is probably the most beloved show to come out of the beginnings of Covid-19. In the early days of the Pandemic, many people wanted to turn to something warm and comforting to escape what life had become in the world. This unassuming show about an American Football Coach flying to London to coach a Premier Soccer League has taken off in enormous fashion, getting critical and commercial buzz throughout its entire existence. Who would’ve thought that a farcical concept that started out as an NBC sketch could be given so much emotional weight? Apparently, Jason Sudeikis and co-creators Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly. Their knack for telling sincere stories in a genuinely sophisticated way has brought a much-needed dose of kindness to the cynicism of modern television. Everybody’s favorite soccer coach came back for its third (and supposedly final) season. The first episode of the show was as tight,...

“Saturday Night Live” legend Dana Carvey recently discussed his role as President Joe Biden on the podcast “Fly on the Wall.” Carvey, who appeared in several sketches during the 2024 election cycle, portrayed Biden distinctly different than predecessors like Jason Sudeikis and Jim Carrey.
“I knew that he was compromised mentally, I mean, it was obvious,” Carvey said (via Variety). “But it was a delicate thing in the comedy world. There were a lot of people who did not want to do anything that would kind of ding him in an awkward way.”
Carvey said, though, that his job was simply to create a version of the former president that could make everyone chuckle.
“That’s the key, if I can do Biden, if I can make Biden funny to everybody, then I am where I want to be… And to make it funny, it had to be recognizable,” he said.

It seems like Coach Ted Lasso is staying in Kansas for Season 4 of the Emmy-winning fan-favorite hit Apple TV+ sports comedy Ted Lasso.Earlier this year, Jason Sudeikis, who plays the titular football-turned-soccer coach, confirmed that Ted Lasso would be coaching a women’s team when the show returns for a much-anticipated fourth season.
Per Kansas City TV news station FOX4, filming for Season 4 of Ted Lasso is expected to take place in the Kansas City metropolitan area in July. Some of the residents in the Kansas City areas of Blue Springs and Lee’s Summit received letters earlier this week letting them know that Ted Lasso would be filming in the area next month. Fxx's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" will be premiering its 17th season in July, and along with the record-breaking new season and a surprise crossover beyond their collaboration with "Abbott Elementary" comes the celebration of 20 years on the air. Who would have thought that of all the major shows, both network and/or on basic cable, the raunchy "Seinfeld" of the 21st century would make television history as the longest-running live-action scripted American sitcom?

Ted Lasso and Marvel fans have something in common: Dani Rojas. The enthusiastic footballer from Ted Lasso can be seen in a delightful cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the mid-credit scene of the movie, we can see a glimpse of him bartending.
This unusual crossover isn’t just a fun easter egg. It is a clever bridge between superhero lore and feel-good television. Discovering Danny’s cameo transformed what was supposed to be a casual rewatch of the film into a treasure hunt, tapping into the nostalgic love that keeps fans glued to the screens.

Jennifer Aniston has appeared in numerous notable projects, from her decade-long run as Rachel Green on Friends to Rose O’Reilly/Sarah in We’re the Millers and many more. When it comes to the project she’d most like to revisit from her past, she has one in mind, and it’s one that has already had a sequel.

Jennifer Aniston addressed which character she would like to revisit and, unfortunately for Friends fans, it is not Rachel Green. However, it was one of her most exciting comedic roles, where she became a villain for the first time
Looking back at her career, Aniston told People that she would like to reprise her role from Horrible Bosses. The black comedy film premiered in 2011 and was a massive box office hit. A sequel followed three years later.
"Oh my God, this literally came up the other day: Horrible Bosses," Aniston replied when asked which character she'd like to revisit, considering that Hollywood is a fan of sequels, reboots, remakes, and revivals.
"Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too," Aniston explained. "So that's something that we think would be super fun."
As for her reasoning, the actress highlighted that the world needs comedy.

Sports games rarely benefit from fictional character crossovers, yet one particular mustachioed American coach managed to become a genuine fan favorite before vanishing without explanation. Ted Lasso’s brief stint in EA’s soccer franchise created an unexpected phenomenon that left players genuinely invested in his digital presence.
Now, with Season 4 officially entering production and filming scheduled to begin soon, the timing couldn’t be better for EA Sports Fc to reconsider bringing back everyone’s favorite optimistic outsider. After all, the best comebacks happen when nobody expects them.
When licensing deals go wrong and fans pay the price
Ted Lasso‘s inclusion in FIFA 23 felt like a marketing gimmick that somehow transformed into pure magic. AFC Richmond arrived as a complete package: Ted himself as a playable manager, the entire team roster including Roy Kent and Jamie Tartt, plus Nelson Road stadium recreated in stunning detail.

Jennifer Aniston starred as Rachel Green on the beloved sitcom Friends for its entire 10-year run from 1994-2004, but when asked which project she’d most like to revisit in her career, it’s not that.

If there’s a streaming platform that’s grown insanely fast, it’s Apple TV+. Instead of buying up massive old catalogs like everyone else, Apple took a different path: creating original shows with mind-melting ideas, big talent, and top-tier production. And it worked. Since launching in 2019, Apple TV+ has picked up 39 Primetime Emmys and dropped hit after hit.
Over the past few months alone, the platform has added several new shows, each with stacked casts, wild, exciting concepts, and out-of-this-world production. But even with all that fresh content, it’s a five-year-old series that’s still holding strong in the Top 10.
Made back when Apple TV+ was still figuring things out, this early gem continues to outperform the latest headliners–and honestly, it’s not even close.

An underrated crime comedy is getting a new wave of recognition on streaming nine years after it struggled at the box office. It can be hard to predict which older movies will suddenly gain traction on streaming platforms. Of course, people will always rewatch popular classics, but other streaming hits defy logic, since they weren't particularly successful when they were in theaters. The best crime comedies can be huge crowdpleasers, however, since they have a broader appeal than many other comedy movies, especially if there's a splash of action.
A lot has been said about the decline of studio comedies in the 21st century, especially mid-budget comedies that fared so well in the 1980s and 1990s. There are still some great comedies being produced, but they aren't quite the same as they used to be. Broad, laugh-out-loud comedies are getting hard to come by, as many of the funniest movies...

Ted Lasso is one of the most beloved sports comedies to come out of Apple TV+. It’s the series that helped define the platform’s identity, delivering heartfelt storytelling, razor-sharp writing, and a lead character whose unwavering optimism became a cultural reset. With multiple Emmy Award wins and a dedicated fanbase, Ted Lasso seemed unstoppable.
But beneath all the charm and cheer lies a reality fans may need to finally accept—the show might be doomed to fail. Over the course of three seasons, cracks have started to show. Whether it’s narrative fatigue, tone shifts, or character arcs losing their heat, there are signs that the magic might not last forever. As much as it hurts to admit, Ted Lasso could be heading toward a future that doesn’t live up to its legacy.

A decade after the movie was released in theatres, Jason Sudeikis’ We’re The Millers is gaining momentum on the streaming scene. It was originally released in August 2013 and is a classic crime comedy that features Jennifer Aniston, Will Porter, Emma Roberts, besides Sudeikis.
Back in the day, the movie received lukewarm reviews; however, it grossed $270 million globally, on a $37 million budget. Now that Jason Sudeikis has become a household name in the streaming arena, thanks to Ted Lasso, the movie is gaining renewed attention, currently standing at number eight on Hulu most most-watched movie collection. So, what is the reason people would rather revisit these old classics rather than watch new stuff? What does it tell us about the streaming culture of today?

Ted Lasso has become a cult classic on Apple TV+ all thanks to its brilliant writers and showrunner, who thought of the interesting script and decided to bring forward a story about love and healing, and growth that needed to be told.
One man who has contributed immensely to this process is Brett Goldstein. He not only plays a pivotal character on the show, but is also one of the key writers on it, making him fully involved in the creative process of the show. In a recent interview with Ted Danson on Team Coco, Goldstein talks about the magical phone call that changed the trajectory of his career.

Ted Lasso is all set to return with a fourth installment, and we can’t wait to see what our favourite football coach is up to next. Before he was winning Emmys and warming hearts as Ted Lasso, Jason Sudeikis was slumming it in one of the most critically panned comedies of the 2010s — and somehow,Masterminds is now thriving on streaming. Coach Beard just let slip yesterday that Ted Lasso Season 4 will begin filming sooner than we thought, and now one of his co-stars has broken his silence on what to expect in the next season. It didn’t take long after the Ted Lasso Season 3 finale for whispers to rumble about a potential fourth season, and those rumblings picked up steam earlier this year until it was officially announced that a fourth season of the heartfelt sports drama was in the works. Nick Mohammed, who plays Nate in the hit Apple TV+ show, recently sat down for an interview with Collider’s Christina Radish for Deep Cover, and she asked if Season 3 felt like the end at the time, or if he knew even then that they’d be coming back for more:
"A bit of both. The storylines in Season 3 would suggest that there was a real sense of finality.
