  • Survived a plane crash during the making of Le baron rouge (1971) and saved the pilot's life by treading water for 45 minutes.
  • In the early 1990s, Stroud attempted to come to the aid of a man being mugged on the street in Greenwich Village, New York City. He wound up getting stabbed ten times, including his right eye; he can no longer see out of it.
  • Was once the 4th ranked surfer in the world.
  • Played his own drums and recorded music live for The Buddy Holly Story (1978).
  • Stunt double for Troy Donahue on TV's Hawaiian Eye (1959).
  • Bouncer and later manager for the infamous Sunset Stip venue "Whisky-A-Go-Go".
  • He was paid $10,000 to appear as the nude centerfold in the November, 1973 issue of Playgirl Magazine.
  • He has made guest appearances on both Hawaii police d'état (1968) and Hawaii 5-0 (2010).
  • Black Belt in karate.
  • Returned to live in Honolulu. He and wife Teri reside in Hawaii Kai. (May 2005)
  • Graduate of Kaimuki High School.
  • Son of Clarence Stroud and Ann McCormack. Stepson of Paul Livermore. Ex-stepson of Jackie Coogan. Brother of actor Duke Stroud. Nephew of Claude Stroud, Gloria Brewster, Barbara Brewster and Bob LeMond.
