He was the only Nazi hanged in Nuremberg on 16th October 1946 who shouted "Heil Hitler!" while entering the gallows.

Was the founder and publisher of the tabloid style newspaper "Der Stürmer," which in English literally translates to "The Stormer." Despite having never held a position of power, at the Nuremberg trials he was found guilty of "crimes against humanity" and was executed.

His execution was botched and it took 14 minutes for him to strangle.

His conviction for crimes against humanity has been criticized as he was not involved in the Holocaust. Some have argued Streicher was executed for his beliefs.
