  • He contributed with 9 films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: Le tour du monde en 80 jours (1956), Butch Cassidy et le Kid (1969), Patton (1970), M*A*S*H (1970), Voyage au bout de l'enfer (1978), Forrest Gump (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Il faut sauver le soldat Ryan (1998) and La Ligne verte (1999). Of those, Le tour du monde en 80 jours (1956), Patton (1970), Voyage au bout de l'enfer (1978) and Forrest Gump (1994) are winners in the category.
