  • Spent the summer after college graduation studying acting with Glenda Jackson at the University of Scranton. He has a BA from Muhlenberg College and an MFA from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts.
  • A published poet, John's work has appeared in numerous journals, magazines and anthologies, including: Atticus Review, The Coil Magazine, Bluestem, Rue Scribe, Typishly, Prometheus Dreaming, Portrait of New England, Chaleur Magazine, Cathexis Northwest Press, River Heron Review, Gravitas, Duck Lake Journal, Tiny Seed Literary Journal, Shift: A Journal of Literary Oddities, West Trade Review, Red Flag Poetry, and New Millennium Writings.
  • Shared his first screen kiss with Aida Turturro in Jersey Girl (1992), although the scene and his character were both cut from the final film.
  • During the climactic New Year's Eve party in Quand Harry rencontre Sally... (1989), John can be seen dancing over Meg Ryan's shoulder when Harry (Billy Crystal) utters the classic line, "I've been doing a lot of thinking, and the thing is, I love you.".
