Cristina Spina

Cristina Spina is an Italian actor, writer, and filmmaker with dual citizenship Italian and American. She started her career as a dancer and actor working with top theater directors, such as Luca Ronconi, Massimo Castri, Carlo Cecchi and Martha Clarke. In 2013, Cristina studied at NYU Tisch School in their film program's Sight & Sound Course. She was assistant director on Bette Gordon's film, The Drowning. For House of Cards, season 6, she shadowed the director Alik Sakharov. In 2016, she directed her debut short film So Be It, which won Best Short Film at RIFF, Rome Independent Film Festival. She wrote and directed 500 Calories which premiered at Alice Nella Città in 2020, the film participated to many festivals around the world. Recently Cristina wrote and directed Consider the Lilies which premiered at Alice nella Città, 2023 and won the BNL PARIBAS Best Short Film. She is now developing her first feature film.
