Alex Kurtzman And Robert Orci Join Forces With The CW To Revive Tales From The Darkside
Genre master George A. Romero’s 1980’s cult anthology series Tales From The Darkside looks to be getting a radical 21st century-makeover should the fine folks over at The CW have their way.

Deadline is reporting today that the network is looking to resurrect the long-forgotten half-hour anthology series which was a late-night staple on independent stations during its initial four-year (1984-1988) syndicated run. The CW has partnered with producers Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci (Star Trek: Into Darkness) and writer Joe Hill (Stephen King’s progeny and himself a renowned author in his own right) as they attempt to revive the revered series for a summer 2014 run on the network.

Sopranos Star Dies Aged 71
Nancy Marchand in Les Soprano (1999)
Sopranos star Nancy Marchand has died at her home in Stratford, Connecticut - just a day before her 72nd birthday. The Emmy- winning actress died on Sunday of lung cancer, HBO spokeswoman Tobe Becker said. Marchand had continued to work on The Sopranos even after her diagnosis of lung cancer. Her husband of 47 years, Paul Sparer, died in November, also of cancer. On film, Marchand appeared in Dear God (1996) with Greg Kinnear, the 1995 remake of Sabrina (1995), Regarding Henry (1991) and the first of the Naked Gun comedies, among many others. Marchand was a series regular on such shows as "Lou Grant" and "Another World" as well as making guest appearances in numerous other series throughout her distinguished career. She leaves behind three children.
