Exclusive: The Sopranos stars Vincent Pastore and Steven Van Zandt and Mindhunter’s Holt McCallany are to star in dark mob comedy Iron Terry Malone.

The trio have signed up to the feature film, which is produced by Creative Alley Productions, in association with All Things Creative and Brazen Giant Productions alongside The Wire’s John Doman, Bill Sorvino (Who’s Jenna?), Maureen Van Zandt (The Sopranos) and Gary Pastore (The Deuce).

Written by Christian Keiber and Robert John Keiber and directed by Johnny Greenlaw (Mommy’s Box), Iron Terry Malone is shot at many of the same locations as Elia Kazan’s classic On The Waterfront, set largely in Hoboken, N.J., with the owner and five regulars teaming up to kill off one of their own to save their favorite bar from closing.

A little while back we had the enigmatic bad-ass female lead Tracey Birdsall on the podcast to chat about her career, her connection to Disney and upcoming projects like The Time War (a Neil Johnson movie we are very much looking forward to seeing). I personally loved chatting to Tracey, you could tell she was excited about the craft and poured herself into each role she landed. So of course I am going to check out more of her projects especially one that boasts comedy, drama and porn… Sounds like all the key ingredients for a rom-com for guys.

Golden Door International Film Festival Announces 2016 Lineup, Hosts ‘Another You’ As Opening Night Film

The Golden Door International Film Festival has announced its 2016 lineup today. The New Jersey festival features a mix of indie winners and mainstream majors. It runs from September 22nd through the 25th and it’s held at the beautiful Landmark Loews, Beacon Paramount theatre, and Rialto-Capital.

The festival will host the world premiere of Chris Robert’s film “Another You,” which follows young and ambitious science major Sydney Jameson who finds love and refuses to let it go, turning an ordinary relationship into a dangerous fixation. Sydney soon loses herself in a scientific break through, finding a way to use the theory of De Ja Vu to explore her past mistakes.
