'Grand Theft Hamlet' Is Now Streaming & Scores 97% on Rotten Tomatoes
Image
We could be looking at one of, if not the best video game movie ever made, as the unorthodox documentary Grand Theft Hamlet impresses critics far more than anyone likely anticipated. Telling the story of Sam Crane and Mark Oosterveen as they attempt to cast and produce a version of William Shakespeare’s "Hamlet" within the virtual world of Grand Theft Auto Online, Grand Theft Hamlet is now “certified fresh” with a hugely impressive score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Reviews have praised the unique cinematic undertaking, with William Bibbiani of TheWrap disappointed that Grand Theft Hamlet didn’t go on longer.

“If there is one disappointing element of this moving, amusing, sad and memorable film it’s that it isn’t five hours long.”

Grand Theft Hamlet premiered at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival, winning the Jury Award for best documentary feature. The movie is now available to stream on the streaming platform Mubi,...

10 Reasons Madame Web's Reviews Are So Negative
Image
Madame Web tries to be a Spider-Man film but fails to capture the essence of the character despite its cast and visual cues. The chemistry among the cast members in Madame Web is lacking, leaving the dynamic between the heroes and villains unconvincing. Madame Web fails to inject life into Sony's Spider-Man Universe and may negatively impact the future of the franchise.

The reviews for Madame Web are in, and they paint a negative picture of what fans can expect from the new Sony entry, with some particular elements contributing to the movie's poor reviews. Madame Web's plot aims to expand Sony's Spider-Man Universe in new ways, as the film is the closest the shared universe has ever been to having a full-on Spider-Man entry. That comes not from surprise appearances from any of the three movie Spider-Men actors but rather from the already-announced cast members of Madame Web.

Mean Girls Musical Reviews Are In - How Does It Compare To The Original?
Image
Reviews for the 2024 Mean Girls movie musical are mixed but trending negative. The movie has received criticism for its "heightened sexualization" and its inability to tap into modern-day technology or social norms. The stars of the movie have largely been praised, particularly Renee Rapp's performance as queen bee Regina George.

Reviews are in for the musical update of Mean Girls. The new movie is based on the 2018 Broadway production, which was co-written by Tina Fey based on her 2004 teen comedy classic of the same name, which itself was inspired by the nonfiction book Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman. The cast of the new movie includes Spider-Man: Far From Home's Angourie Rice as Cady Heron, The Sex Lives of College Girls' Reneé Rapp as Regina George, Moana's Auliʻi Cravalho as Janis 'Imi'ike, and The Summer I Turned Pretty's Christopher Briney as Aaron Samuels.

Critics have now...
