Stina Sorbon in Söderpojkar (1941)
Swedish actress and singer, prominent in the 1940s. She was born Inga Christina Sorbon in Stockholm to court photographer David Alfred Sorbon and his wife Gerda Aurora Lundquist. Along with sisters Marie-Louise and Ulla, Stina performed as part of a vocal trio (the Sorbon Sisters) until Ulla's death in 1941. Trained for acting under Valborg Hansson, she made her screen bow in 1936 and was featured mainly in small supporting roles until 1940. She later found a notable supporting role in German film as a student in the Heinz Rühmann-directed romantic comedy Sophienlund (1943). On stage the following year, she played the female lead (Elaine Harper) in Joseph Kesselring's comedy play Arsenic and Old Lace at the Oscarsteatern in Stockholm. She retired from acting in 1951 and disappeared into relative obscurity.
