Gethin Jones tells us 21 things about The 21st Question
We love a good quiz show here at Digital Spy, so when Gethin Jones invited us to come down and play his new series The 21st Question, how could we refuse? It's a pretty simple premise - a group of contestants compete but only the one who correctly answers the 21st Question has a chance at going through to win some big money.

When we weren't scowling at our inability to get a question right, we caught up with Gethin to find out 21 more things about him (including his weird celebrity crush!) and the show, which kicks off this afternoon...

1. The concept of the show is very simple - but there are lots of tactics!

"The quiz is very simple. The only way you can win any money is by being on the Power Spot when I ask the 21st question. That's it, that's the premise of the show, and...

Les Dennis: 'Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant rebooted my career'
Les Dennis has claimed that he owes his career turnaround to his work on Extras and Life's Too Short with Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

Dennis, Shaun Williamson and Keith Chegwin all star in the Easter special episode of Life's Too Short this weekend, and the trio said that they were all incredibly grateful for the generosity of the show's creators.

"They put me in nine Extras, a Christmas special and three Life's Too Shorts," said Williamson. "You keep thinking it will be the last time, you're really grateful and then they call you back."

Chegwin said: "It gives us lots of credibility. What I find amazing is that they trust us with their material. It's a heck of a responsibility. We are professionals, but these are two of the biggest writers in the world."

Dennis claimed that getting a call from Merchant and Gervais for Extras had acted as "a regeneration" for him.

David Cameron and the British Film Industry: What’s wrong with these pictures?
Ahead of next week’s publication of Lord Smith’s review on the state and future of the British film industry David Cameron visited Pinewood Studios today to deliver a speech setting out his thoughts on the aims of the industry.

The choice of Pinewood was well made. The studio, which is already two projects into its new initiative of film production as well as being an icon of British film, is at the heart of the industry in this country and much of what Mr. Cameron said will impact those working in this, and other, British studios.

Lord Smith’s report is expected to focus lottery funding to encourage more commercially successful, the word ‘mainstream’ rears its head here, as well as culturally rewarding films and the Prime Minister talked about the £4bn contribution to the economy as well as the ‘incalculable contribution to our culture’ of British film in his speech.

Channel 5 bosses have reportedly persuaded Natasha Giggs to appear on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The show returns to UK TV screens this year and for the first time will air on Five instead of Channel 4 and producers are desperate to sign some big named stars. The Mirror reports that bosses have offered the former estate agent £50,000 to join the lineup of the reality TV show and hope that her presence will draw in millions of viewers, desperate to get to know the woman that brought down Giggs’ empire.

A source said: “Producers think Natasha will be brilliant – really popular with viewers. Everyone will be tuning in to see if she spills the beans on life with Ryan.

Russell Grant praises down-to-earth Marco
Russell Grant has claimed that he got along brilliantly with TV chef Marco Pierre White. The TV astrologer will be seen competing against Alex Ferns and Carol Smillie in tonight's episode of White's cookery competition. Grant suggested that White probably appreciated his "frankness" and applauded the chef for his "down-to-earth" nature. "I just spoke to ITV and they said that I was his absolute number one favourite [contestant]," Grant told Digital Spy. "Maybe he liked my frankness. I think also people tend to think of me as I was on breakfast telly. A bit fluffy, maybe even spineless... But I'm nothing like that. Never judge an astrologer (more)...

Smillie anxious about 'Kitchen Burnout'
Carol Smillie has admitted that she is nervous about taking part in ITV1 series Marco's Kitchen Burnout. The 48-year-old former Changing Rooms presenter confessed that she is more used to working with a "power tool" than a "wooden spoon". "I suppose it was a bit unusual, but predominantly I am happier with a power tool in my hand doing Diy, than a wooden spoon cooking," she said. "My husband used to do most of the meals, but then got in a bit of a strop about it, and said it wasn't fair. Now we split the cooking and Diy between us. So I am hoping on Marco's (more)...

Carol Smillie's sexy Strictly surprise
Carol Smillie thinks 'Strictly Come Dancing' turned her into a ''w***e''. The TV presenter - who came fifth on the celebrity ballroom dancing show in 2006 - was drawn to the programme because of the glitzy outfits the female participants wear when they take to the dance floor, but was shocked when they brought out her raunchy side. She said: ''The costumes are out of this world. That's one of the major pulls for most girls taking part in 'Strictly'. It's that little girl fantasy of getting dressed up. You start off saying, 'I'll just go for the more natural look' and 'that ..
