Funnyman Eddie Murphy has been appearing in feature films since the early 1980s, and fans will have their own favorites for what might stand out as the most memorable. The actor and comedian himself can also name which film perhaps defines his career more so than any other.
Murphy recently appeared as a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where he was joined by Keke Palmer. On the show, Hudson brought up how Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds said Eddie Murphy should have won an Oscar for The Nutty Professor, given how he played several different characters in the comedy. Murphy went on to share how much he loves that some people don't even realize just how many different roles he had in the film, calling it his "favorite thing." He then shared how he considers The Nutty Professor to be his career-defining role.

These days, it’s extremely easy to access information about your favorite movies and TV shows thanks to the wonders/horrors of the internet. But back in the dark ages of the 1990s, when dial-up modems, fax machines and slap bracelets were considered cutting edge, pop-culture info was a lot harder to come by.
This meant that fans of The Simpsons who grew up in the ‘90s mostly learned about The Simpsons by watching the show. After all, it’s not like many kids at the time were loyal CBS News NightWatch viewers.

But then, in The Simpsons’ seventh season, one atypical clip show gave audiences a semi-fictional peek at the making of the series: “The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular.”
A lot of the episode was obviously fake (it was hosted by Troy McClure on the Simpsons’ living room “set”), but it did feature actual deleted scenes, including alternate endings for “Who Shot Mr.

Is there a character in the long cast list of The Simpsons more unremarkable yet totally endearing than Lenny Leonard? The Simpsons is jam-packed with supporting characters, and each could host their own The Simpsons spinoff show. Everyone has their favorite character. When I first began getting interested in The Simpsons, I asked for a new DVD box set almost every Christmas and birthday for years, winding up with about eight seasons of the classic show. I studied these background characters, grew to love them, and probably unknowingly, ranked them constantly against each other.
Like a lot of people, one of my first loves in The Simpsons was Mr. Burns. How could you hate a man with a Richard Simmons guard robot? Over the years, your tastes morph and change. You start to enjoy different things for different reasons. Natural Light used to be the pinnacle of beer for me.

Showbiz has always made for strange bedfellows. Still, it’s hard to fathom any single personality linking talents as diverse as Pet Shop Boys, Bob Dylan, Fishbone, John Tesh, Diana Ross, Dusty Springfield, Toto, James Brown, TLC, Lulu, Stephen Stills, Tanya Tucker, Bette Midler, Gladys Knight, Scott Baio and Richard Simmons. Yet that list is just the tip of a collaborative iceberg for the subject of “The World According to Allee Willis,” about the late songwriter estimated to have sold over sixty million records.

Disney is often celebrated around the world for its wide catalog of films, making it one of the most iconic production companies ever formed. From traditional fairy tales to moving modern adventures, these films have stayed with fans for a lifetime. Now, with the advent of streaming platforms like Disney +, fans can continue sharing their favorite animated movies with the next generation.
But before streaming, Disney often had to fight for prime real estate at the box office, meaning that some projects got pushed aside. Thus, a lot of sequels and spin-offs were released direct-to-video. Although these films are wrongly accused of being flops, Disney proves that sometimes, these movies are much better than the original.

In the "The Simpsons" episode "Brother from the Same Planet", Homer (Dan Castellaneta) forgets about Bart (Nancy Cartwright) at soccer practice, leaving him to wait for many hours. Bart, as he often does, accuses Homer of being a terrible father, and seeks revenge by submitting his name to the Bigger Brother agency (a riff on Big Brothers Big Sisters of America) hoping to find a new temporary guardian to care for him. Bart is paired with a charming, caring man named Tom (Phil Hartman), an ultra-cool test pilot. Tom is gentle and attentive, and Bart enjoys the time they spend together. Bart eventually starts to feel guilty, though, when he realizes Tom's time could be spent caring for a more disadvantaged child than he.

Richard Simmons‘ long-time housekeeper and friend is filing a petition to restore her role as a co-trustee of the late fitness guru’s estate. She claims that Richard’s brother pressured her into signing over her rights days after his death. Here is what she’s asking for.

Teresa Reveles filed a petition with the courts on Wednesday, September 25. The petition outlines a “nefarious scheme” carried out by Richard Simmons’ brother, Leonard “Lenny” Simmons, and his wife, Cathy.

The family of the late Richard Simmons has become embroiled in a dispute with the fitness icon’s longtime house manager, Teresa Reveles, regarding rights to Simmons’ estate. As reported by People, Reveles filed a petition on Wednesday, September 25, to be reinstated as co-trustee for Simmons’ estate. Reveles, who served as the fitness guru’s house manager and friend for 36 years, claimed she was misled by Simmons’ brother Lenny and his wife Cathy into giving up her role while she was grieving. On August 22, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Simmons died from blunt traumatic injuries. Responding to Reveles’ petition, a spokesperson for the Simmons family provided a statement to People, where they blasted Reveles for her “greed” and said Simmons would be “heartbroken” by her actions.

Why Wasn’t Matthew Perry In Emmy’s In Memoriam?
The In Memoriam had plenty of sad losses in the entertainment industry. However, when it finished, some fans wondered why Matthew Perry wasn’t in the listing. Perry died last October, so the ceremony falls within a year of his death.

This led people online to ask why Perry was “snubbed.”
“How do you forget Matthew Perry in your memorial of people that passed” “did I miss it or did the Emmy’s not show Matthew Perry?...

The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards may be over, but complaining about the Emmy Awards is only just beginning.
It’s not uncommon for awards ceremonies’ In Memoriam segments, which honor deceased members of the industry, to tick off viewers. Such as how this year’s Oscars ceremony controversially lumped together a bunch of illegible names in the final moments of the In Memoriam, and also featured a “distracting” interpretive dance number.
Last night’s Emmys’ In Memoriam paid homage to late TV stars like Bob Newhart, Richard Simmons and Shannen Doherty, but it also omitted some major names. Some were confused as to why Matthew Perry didn’t appear, forgetting that this was actually the second Emmy ceremony of the year. Perry was honored during the delayed 74th Emmys, which aired back in January.
But the Emmys are now taking heat for leaving out some notable figures, including Erica Ash,...

The “In Memoriam” segment of the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday paid tribute to a host of small-screen stars who have died in the past year, but users on social media were quick to point out the notable names that did not make the montage.
The poignant segment saw rapper Jelly Roll say a few words before performing his 2024 song “I Am Not Okay” as a montage of late stars was shown inside the Peacock Theater and on television. Among those included in the segment were Donald Sutherland, James Earl Jones, Martin Mull, Richard Lewis, Richard Simmons, Shannen Doherty, Gena Rowlands, Chance Perdomo and Carl Weathers.
There was general confusion online in some quarters due to the omission of Friends star Matthew Perry, who died Oct. 28, 2023 at 54. Perry’s absence was explained by the Television Academy paying a special tribute to the actor at the 74th edition of the Emmys held in January,...

The In Memoriam section of the 2024 Emmys paid tribute to some of the most beloved performers and creatives we've lost this year, but former Emmy-nominee, Shelley Duvall was missing from the list. Amid the celebrations, as our favorite shows are recognized by other industry veterans for their achievement, the In Memoriam section puts a pause on the festivities as we all take a moment to remember our favorite actors, directors, and writers, who have passed away this year. With a live performance of "I Am Not Okay" by Jelly Roll, this year's segment was particularly emotional. Some of the names featured in the section included Richard Simmons, Shannen Doherty, James Earl Jones, the recently deceased James Earl Jones, and the young Gen V star Chance Perdomo. However, Duvall, and some other notable names were absent from the commemoration.

The only thing that has kept me alive is that I’m a petty bitch,” says Stormy Daniels. “There would be too many people happy if I died. I’m alive because of spite.”
Daniels is sitting on the back porch of an undisclosed domicile, in an undisclosed city in an undisclosed state. There’s a gun on the table beside her, which, she says, she carries wherever she goes — “but never in a state where it’s illegal,” she quickly adds. “Let’s not give them a reason to search me.

Exclusive: The Wolper Organization, the company behind the iconic Roots miniseries, is staying in business with Warner Bros. Television Group.
The two companies have renewed their overall deal, meaning that the company will have been in business with the studio for more than 50 years. It marks one of the longest consecutive studio deals in entertainment history.
The multiyear pact will see The Wolper Organization continue to develop and produce television series exclusively for the TV group, alongside its first-look feature deal with the movie studio.
Warner Bros. started working with The Wolper Organization, then run by David L. Wolper, in 1976 after Warner Communications bought it for $1.5M. It is behind three of the most successful limited series of all time: Roots, The Thorn Birds and North and South, was first to bring DC’s Superman franchise to TV and introduced viewers to the likes of Jacques Cousteau and Jane Goodall.

Pauly Shore and Richard Simmons’ family are clashing over a proposed biopic of the late fitness icon that is supposed to star Shore. The actor and comedian told Entertainment Tonight in an interview published July 30 that he was still developing the movie following Simmons’ death last month.
