Trivia

Juliana Silveira

Edit
  • The soap "Floribella" was a big success in Brazil.
  • She married to Rodolfo Medina in Las Vegas, without their families. They dated for 5 years before getting married.
  • Between 2005 and 2009 lived with actor Roger Gobeth.
  • Mother of a boy named Bento, born July 22, 2011 in Rio de Janeiro. Father is João Vergara.
  • Almost turned down an audition for Floribella (2005) due to its singing requirements. She won the role over several professional singers, some of them with a background in musicals.
  • Had a stage fright attack before her first stage performance as Floribella (2005), for which she lost her voice. A reason for her anxiety crisis was that she thought the rehearsals had not been enough.
  • Used to perform as a Xuxa cover when she was a child. Interesting enough, she started her career in television as an Angel (stage assistant and dancer) to Angélica, another star of children's variety shows.
  • Broke her leg while dancing with a producer before filming of the second season of Floribella (2005) could start. She had to be absent for the first episodes until her injury ended up being incorporated into the script.
  • Released new versions of her Floribella (2005) hits in 2021, in celebration of the series rerun.
  • Was a "Angelicat" (stage assistant) in a TV program hosted by Angelica in early 80s.
  • Mother: Giselda Bragança Saúda, a housewife. Has a older brother named Joaquim.
  • She was first know by the public with the soap "Malhação".
  • Father: Joaquim Silveira Filho, a merchant.
  • Started her career in television as one of Angélica's stage assistants, the Angels.
  • Was spotted by Angélica among several other fans while filming her show "Casa da Angélica" in 1993. Angélica immediately requested her to be cast in the show, wherein she would start her career in television.
  • From the moment she was cast, she worked as one of Angélica's Angels in all of her children's variety shows.
  • Wrote herself Nina's single "I Got What You Need" in Luz do Sol (2007), deliberately sampling Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous".
  • Was cast as Júlia in Malhação (1995) replacing Marie Lanna of Sandy & Junior (1999) fame, who was fired from the role days after filming her scenes. Júlia would become one of the most popular "Young Hearts" protagonists from the 2000s.
  • Was set to portray Telma, a prostitute, in Paraíso Tropical (2007). She dropped the role (and consequently left Rede Globo) after taking her Floribella (2005) young fans in consideration and decided to play Nina in Record TV's Luz do Sol (2007) instead.
  • Debuted on television as one of Angélica's backup dancers ("angels") in the 1990s - but actually used to perform as a Xuxa cover as a child. Xuxa and Angélica were publicly seen as "competitors" due to their similar TV shows aimed at kids.
