    A co-founder of the Costume Designers Guild in 1966, Shoup was primarily known for his work at Warner Brothers (1935-1941; 1952-1967) and MGM (1942-1946). His five Oscar nominations all came within six years near the end of his distinguished career, 1960-1966.
