He graduated from the Moscow Theater School named after Shchukin (1977). In 1977-1980 - actor of the Odessa Theater of Musical Comedy. In 1980-1988 - the actor of the Kuibyshev (now Samara) Regional Drama Theater. Since 1988 - actor of the Odessa Russian Drama Theater. Acts as a theater director, actor of the musical show theater "Richelieu". He gained popularity thanks to his participation in the television sketch show "Gentleman Show" (Semyon Markovich, Vovan and others) and the comic programs "Academy of Laughter", "Filimonov and Company". He works on Odessa television as the host of the "Painting of Taste with Oleg Shkolnik" program, also known as a radio commentator for football matches. People's Artist of Ukraine.
