  • Following her actor/husband's death in 1979, she made a minor 'comeback' in the British TV series Roots (1981).
  • Joined RADA at the age of sixteen and made her stage debut in Brighton two years later.
  • Pretty 1940s and 1950s Brit radio and film actress who started off promisingly in war-era films playing docile, ladylike co-stars but remained on the periphery of stardom despite the high calibre of her movies. Made six films with actor/husband Sydney Tafler, including Cendrillon du faubourg (1948) and Once a Sinner (1950). Their daughter Jennifer Tafler also appeared in movies, and third child Jonathan Tafler is a performer.
