‘Fallout,’ ‘Fargo’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ Top Location Managers Guild Awards

Emmy nominees “Fallout,” “Fargo” and “Ripley” were the top television series winners at the 11th annual Location Managers Guild International (Lgmi) Awards, which were handed out on Saturday evening in Los Angeles.

“Fallout” won the award for period television series, while “Fargo” won for contemporary TV series and “Ripley” won for limited series, anthologies or movies.

Recent Oscar Best Picture winner “Oppenheimer” and “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1” received the awards for period and contemporary films, respectively.

Film in Iceland was honored with the film commission award for its work on HBO’s “True Detective: Night Country.”

The Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) received the Humanitarian Award for its commitment to exceptional work at the forefront of providing a wide range of health and social services to the entertainment community. Jennifer Jorge, MPTF’s director of community social services, accepted the award from presenter Camilla Belle.

‘Ripley,’ ‘Fallout,’ ‘Fargo’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ Take Top Honors at Location Managers Guild Awards
Emmy contenders “Fallout,” “Fargo” and “Ripley” were among the winners at the 11th annual Location Managers Guild International Awards, presented Saturday at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

Additionally, motion picture awards went to Best Picture Oscar recipient “Oppenheimer,” which was filmed throughout New Mexico, and “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part 1,” filmed in Norway, Italy and in the U.K.

“Fallout” was lensed in Utah, New York and Namibia; “Fargo,” in Alberta, Canada; and “Ripley,” in Italy. “Toyota: “Present from the Past,” filmed in Washington State, topped the commercial category.

Film in Iceland received the Outstanding Film Commission Award, on the strength of its support for “True Detective: Night Country.”

‘The Young and the Restless’ Takes Home Best Hairstyling at ‘The 11th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Awards’ (Winners)

On Sunday, February 18, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” won Best Hairstyling for Daytime Television during “The 11th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Awards” at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Hairstylists Lauren Mendoza, Justin Jackson, Michelle Corona and Diana Santana received the award for their work on the daytime drama series. Melissa Peterman hosted the awards show which honors members of the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE Local 706)

“The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” were also nominees in the Best Make-Up for Daytime Television category, but both shows lost out to “The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula,” with make-up artists Swanthula Boulet and Dracmorda Boulet taking home the award.
