Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos recently discussed the loss of their beloved dog, Chewie, on Live with Kelly and Mark.
Kelly and Mark did not miss any time on Live and kept the show running like the veteran show hosts everyone loves.
She kept going even when she had to get security involved because she had recently lost her glasses or when a phone rang during a live show.
It took a lot for Kelly to stop the show when she cried over Chewie because she hated showing that much emotion when everyone was in the studio for a fun show.
Any pet lover knows that taking care of aging pets and facing their eventual loss is gut-wrenching for everyone, and Kelly is taking this one hard.
As Monsters and Critics has reported, Kelly cried when she shared on the air that they had a rough day with the veterinarian...

Gypsy, the much-anticipated musical revival starring Audra McDonald, was at standing room only during its first week of previews at the Majestic Theatre, grossing $770,349 for only three performances. At that rate, the production is sure to rank among the top grossing shows on Broadway in the coming weeks.
With an average ticket price of $160.19, Gypsy was at 100.8% of the venue’s capacity for the Broadway week ending November 24. Directed by George C. Wolfe, the revival of the Arthur Laurents-Jule Styne-Stephen Sondheim classic officially opens December 19, with McDonald, Danny Burstein and Joy Woods leading the cast.
At the opposite end of the Broadway grosses spectrum last week was Tammy Faye, the critically panned Elton John-Jake Shears musical about televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker. Posting a December 8 closing notice shortly after opening at the Palace on November 14, Tammy Faye took in just $317,913 last week, filling only 41% of the venue’s seats.

Tammy Faye, the Elton John-Jake Shears musical about televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker that opened last week to negative reviews, will close on December 8, less than a month after its official November 14 opening.
In addition to the harsh reviews, box office has been disappointing, with the most recent figures, for the week ending November 17, indicating only 63% of seats at the Palace were occupied. The gross for the week was a dismal $374,371.
Tammy Faye stars Olivier Award-winner Katie Brayben in the title role, with Christian Borle as Jim Bakker, and Michael Cerveris as Jerry Falwell.
Upon closing, the production will have played 24 previews and 29 performances. The announcement makes Tammy Faye the fastest-closing show of the current Broadway season.

New musical Tammy Faye is closing Dec. 8 after a short-lived run on Broadway.
The show, which chronicles the famous televangelist and features music by Elton John, began performances at the Palace Theatre on Oct. 19 and opened just last Thursday, Nov. 14. The production failed to capture an audience and was met with mixed to negative reviews, with critics questioning the ultimate message of the musical and whether it was meant to satirize televangelism or celebrate the feminist icon Tammy Faye.
The show, which was capitalized for up to $25 million, made less than $400,000 in the most recent three weeks of its run, which was far below the numbers needed to support a musical of that size. Audience numbers have been on the low end, with the musical playing to 63 percent capacity in its most recent week.

It’s extremely unclear what exactly is going on at the moment, though the band’s primary social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, and X) have all been updated to feature images of what look like television static. There’s mailing list fans can sign up for, as well.

A new biographical musical about Tammy Faye Messner is coming out with music from Elton John. The first look at the music from the musical makes it seem like nothing any fan of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker could ever expect. However, for his part, Elton John reached out to their son, Jay Bakker, to get his thoughts on the musical.
Here is what Jay said after seeing the musical about his mom.
Jay Bakker Calls Tammy Faye A ‘Traumatic’ Experience
Elton John and Jay Bakker were on a conference call together to talk about the Tammy Faye musical. Elton wrote the music for it, while Jake Shears wrote the music, and Rupert Gould directs it. Jay admitted to seeing it and had some interesting thoughts about it.

For Elton John and his husband David Furnish, televangelist Tammy Faye has long been a figure of fascination.
The two were drawn to her not only for her over-the-top style, including her bold eye makeup and mannerisms, but also her compassionate interview with pastor Steve Pieters, a gay man living with AIDS, in 1985 on her popular Christian television show Tammy’s House Party. That moment, as well as her complicated legacy intertwined with the rise of televangelism and the downfall of her former husband and their television empire, led John and Furnish to option the rights to turn her story into a West End show and now a Broadway musical.
“I toured America for so long and so often that she became someone I was very, very interested in, and that pivotal moment when she did have the pastor on was equivalent to Princess Diana holding the man’s hand in the Lighthouse in London.

Christian Borle will star in the Tammy Faye musical on Broadway, replacing the previously announced Andrew Rannells.
Borle, a two-time Tony Award winner for playing Shakespeare in Something Rotten and Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher, will take over the role of Jim Bakker, fellow televangelist and husband to Tammy Faye, who will be played by Katie Brayben.

Andrew Rannells, walking the red (actually blue) carpet at the Tony Awards yesterday for his nominated Gutenberg! The Musical had some disappointing news for fans: Contrary to previous reports, Rannells will not reprise his Olivier-nominated performance as televangelist Jim Bakker when the musical Tammy Faye comes to Broadway later this fall.
In a brief interview on the carpet with CBS Mornings outside Lincoln Center yesterday, Rannells blamed contract issues with his split from the Elton John-Jake Shears-James Graham musical about televangelists Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker.
“I’m actually not doing Tammy Faye anymore,” Rannells said when asked for updates. “I’m very sad to say. I was very excited. As long expected, London’s hit immersive staging of the beloved Kander & Ebb classic Cabaret starring Eddie Redmayne as the emcee will move to Broadway this spring, with Gayle Rankin taking the role of Sally Bowles.
Previews will begin April 1, 2024, at the August Wilson Theatre, with an official opening night of April 21. An opening gala is set for April 20. The musical features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff.
Director of the London production, Rebecca Frecknall, will do the same for Broadway, as will designer Tom Scutt. As with the London production, Cabaret on Broadway will be presented as an immersive, in-the-round staging, turning the August Wilson into the storied Kit Kat Klub, with audience members offered pre-show drinks and dining to evoke pre-World War II Berlin.
Said director Frecknall, “Cabaret is a masterpiece of writing which continues to reveal its richness to us.

Lizzo has defied Tennesse’s controversial drag ban by welcoming drag performers onstage during her concert in Knoxville.
Several RuPaul’s Drag Race alums joined the Grammy winner’s show on Friday 21 April at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville. Addressing thousands of fans in the crowd, Lizzo noted that she received requests to cancel her shows in Tennessee following Gov BillLee’s ban on public drag performances.
But the “Grrrls” singer said she believed the Volunteer State needed to hear “her message” the most.
The drag ban, which has been temporarily blocked by a federal judge, forbids “adult cabaret entertainment” on public property or in locations where it could be viewed by a minor — defining the term as “topless dancers, go-go dancers, exotic dancers, strippers, male or female impersonators.”

‘No one is doing it like her’: Fans celebrate Zendaya’s surprise Coachella performance with Labrinth
Fans stormed Twitter to celebrate Zendaya’s surprise performance at Coachella 2023, alongside her Euphoria collaborator Labrinth.
The show marks the first time in eight years that Zendaya has performed live.
She joined the British musician on stage at the Mojave tent on Saturday (22 April) to sing “I’m Tired” and “All Of Us”, both of which were both written for the multiple Emmy-winning HBO series Euphoria.
Euphoric fans who attended the show shared pictures and videos from the performance, which brought respite to Coachella Valley after Frank Ocean’s “lacklustre” headlining act last weekend.
Others that couldn’t make it to the venue expressed their regret in the form of GIFs, and all-capitals congratulatory messages for Zendaya.
One person wrote: “Labrinth And Zendaya Performing Together Was Not On My Coachella Bucket List”.
“It’s Zendaya world and we’re just living in it,” another fan declared.

Given five minutes and a rock orchestra, which David Bowie would you be? Jake Shears dashes and gyrates across the Festival Hall stage in a glittery jumpsuit to “Watch That Man”, every inch the glam-pop starman. Anna Calvi, the grand dame, expands into the austere Gallic elegance of “Lady Grinning Soul”. Battersea’s Tawiah finds the plastic soul of vaudevillian oompah classic “The Prettiest Star”. And Lynks – sashaying through the moral detritus of “Cracked Actor” in fashionista head-mask and a sci-fi outfit that could only be described as glam-gimp – sets out to encapsulate Bowie the alien art god.
It’s only the rock orchestra, really, that holds them back. This full performance of Bowie’s sixth album has been reinterpreted by the Nu Civilisation Orchestra for the Southbank’s Aladdin Sane: 50 Years anniversary season, and somewhat misses the point of the thing. The top honorees at the 2023 Laurence Olivier Awards were plays that focused on cultures outside of London. “My Neighbour Totoro,” which is based on the beloved Japanese film of the same name from Studio Ghibli, won six trophies, the most of the night, including Best New Comedy, Director, and four craft categories. A revival of the American classic “A Streetcar Named Desire” by Tennessee Williams claimed three: Best Play Revival and for lead Paul Mescal and featured player Anjana Vasan. Meanwhile, the British-based “Prima Facie,” which is set to bow on Broadway this month and will thus compete at the Tony Awards, took home two prizes for Best Play and for star Jodie Comer.
The only other productions to win more than one trophy were all musicals. “Standing at the Sky’s Edge” won two of the top prizes: Best Musical and Best Original Score or New Orchestrations. “Tammy Faye,...

A celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of David Bowie’s album Aladdin Sane will be hosted in London.
The Aladdin Sane: 50 Years exhibition will mark half a century since the 1973 release of the singer’s sixth studio album.
Held at the Southbank Centre, the showcase will run for two months and include artwork from the album, including the well-known lightning flash portrait.
There will also be live music and talks throughout the exhibition.
The exhibition has been curated by Chris Duffy, the son of photographer Brian Duffy who worked with Bowie to create his highly recognisable lightning flash portrait.
“My father’s image of Bowie is often called the Mona Lisa of Pop,” said Duffy about the forthcoming exhibition.
“It’s important to remember it was the result of a short studio shoot using film, which then had to be sent out for commercial processing.”

The Masked Singer is back, with fans tuning in every Saturday night to try to guess which celebrity is behind each costume.
Comedian Joel Dommett has returned to host proceedings, with 13 mystery stars singing familiar songs on stage, while dressed up in an outfit obscuring their identity.
Guessing along with the in-studio audience and the viewers at home are the judges: Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross.
One way to help narrow things down is checking out who’s been on the series before – as it seems unlikely they’d return to the show (although not impossible).

Katherine Jenkins – Octopus

“Victoria’s Secret for men.” That’s how International Male, the clothing catalogue founded by Gene Burkard is described in the opening moments of Bryan Darling and Jesse Finley Reed’s “All Man: The International Male Story.” Only the description should have an important caveat: This smorgasbord of images of men in the sexy (if aggressively outrageous) outfits that adorned Burkard’s 1976 creation were aimed at a specific subset of men. Telling a straightforward tale about this queer-skewing business, “All Man” opens up inquiries on how masculinity has been packaged for the American consumer, straight and gay alike.
The comparison to Victoria’s Secret is an apt one, capturing the way the many talking heads that populate “All Man” speak to and understand Burkard’s goals and ambitions. International Male, like that famous lingerie brand, sold a lifestyle in addition to offering plenty of fodder for sexual fantasies. Its pages were full of photos of ripped,...

Earlier this week, Hudson River Park held its first virtual “UnGala,” an at-home celebration of Hudson River Park, and raised over $1 million to support the Park’s operations, horticulture maintenance and public programming, including its 550+ year-round educational, environmental, sustainability and cultural programs.
Hosted by Jenna Bush Hager, the evening kicked-off with Martha Stewart demonstrating how to mix the perfect “Marthatini” at home. The event featured New Yorkers such as Julianne Moore, Andy Cohen, Lea DeLaria, Diana Taylor, David Chang, Charlotte Groeneveld-Van Haren, Mike Novogratz and New York’s Lieutenant Governor, Hon. Kathy Hochul paying tribute to Hudson River Park and to the essential operations and maintenance workers who have been keeping the Park safe, clean and beautiful each and every day in the face of a global pandemic. The evening concluded with a moving performance by David Broza, who sang an acoustic version of “East Jerusalem/ West Jerusalem.”

Jake Shears released a new single, “Meltdown,” on Friday, which he promises is the first taste of a new disco-influenced body of work coming later this year.
It’s his first release since his work with Josh Homme on Desert Sessions and his first solo, self-titled album in 2018. As he explains to Rolling Stone: “‘Meltdown’ is a little burnt pop confection with a sinister edge, kind of ‘Dysto Music.’ You could call it a turn, or even a re-turn. Also, it’s my tribute to Sylvester, whose vocal stylings...

Josh Homme skates gracefully through a surreal fever dream in the new video for Desert Sessions’ “Easier Said Than Done.”
Directed by Chapman Baehler, the clip wastes no time in grabbing your attention as a Hitler look-alike enjoys a picnic with a demon of some sort. Their good time, however, is promptly interrupted when Homme — strapped in a straight jacket and on roller skates — appears and urinates on the fascist dictator.
Things get even weirder from there as Homme glides gracefully between bizarre tableaus of authoritarian teachers, masturbating pig-faced billionaires,...
