Days Of Our Lives: Susan Seaforth On Julie Being Wounded By Doug’s Betrayal & Theft Of Heirloom
Image
Susan Seaforth As Julie On Days of Our Lives (Photo Credit – Twitter)

Days of our Lives has been focusing on a lot of storyline at the moment but one of them is the story of the missing necklace. The family heirloom was stolen and despite many attempts it wasn’t found until Julie saw Melinda wearing it. Tate later snitched and told Julie that Doug was the actual thief.

Julie then confronted Doug and kicked him out of the house, leaving him homeless and alone. Susan Seaforth, who plays Julie, spoke about the storyline and how much it hurt Julie to find out that Doug was the one who not only stole the necklace but also sold it off and here’s what she shared.

Why Sophia and Doug’s Big Little Lies Will Lead to Big Trouble After February 28 Days of Our Lives
Image
In the Friday, February 28 episode of Days of Our Lives, Sophia and Doug III engaged in lies and deceit, which will not end well for anybody involved.

How Doug III Made Things Worse

Doug III (Peyton Meyer) disappointed us in Friday’s episode. We thought he was feeling appropriately remorseful, and maybe he is, but then why would he gaslight Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes)? Julie told him about the letter she received from her brother, Steven Olson (Stephen Schnetzer). He swore on the memory of Tom and Alice that he didn’t steal the necklace, and she believed him.

Doug immediately wanted to know if Julie suspected anyone else. He brought up the fact that some people in the family think he stole the necklace and asked if she thought the same. Of course, she told him she didn’t. But who knows, maybe now she will.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Alice’s Necklace Mysteriously Reappears, Julie Sells To Save The Hospital?
Image
Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease Salem University Hospital could get a last-minute miracle save from bankruptcy and dissolution.

Alice Horton’s (Frances Reid) necklace mysteriously reappears, and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) sells it to save the hospital, and it might even get a new name!

Salem University Hospital Is Part Of Julie’s Family’s Legacy

Salem University Hospital is part of Julie’s family legacy as much as the Horton House is-her grandfather, Tom Horton (MacDonald Carey) was a prominent doctor there.

Her uncle Bill Horton (John Martin) was a surgeon there also, and the hospital was very important to the Hortons.

So it’s a sad day for Julie and for the hospital staff as well, when they learn all that was keeping the hospital open was “Body And Soul” being filmed there.

The production is moving to California, and not only are some...

Days of our Lives Spoilers February 6: Chad Helps Julie Adjust
Image
Days of our Lives spoilers for Thursday, February 6, continue to help Julie get used to a life without Doug and all the new people in her life since then.

Next on Days of our Lives

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) lost the love of her life. That’s not something you really get over. Ever. On top of it, she’s suddenly dealing with her Doug’s (Bill Hayes) heretofore unknown grandson, Triple Doug (Peyton Meyer), a missing necklace that she thinks was taken by her brother, Stephen (Stephen Schnetzer)—even though it was really the lying Triple Doug—and the return of Kat (AnnaLynne McCord), the woman who pretended to be her dead, great nice, Abigail (Marci Miller).

Chad (Billy Flynn) thinks Julie should get some professional help. Professional Marlena (Deidre Hall) agrees. Julie is kind of for it, kind of against it, and kind of all over the place,...

Here’s How Days of Our Lives Resurrected Guiding Light
Image
Days of Our Lives always has fun, sometimes obscure pop-culture references interspersed in the characters’ dialogue. In December 2022, an eagle-eyed fan on X, formerly Twitter, noticed a mention of the president of Salem’s city council as being Cass Winthrop. This was a nod to the Another World character of the same name. Stephen Schnetzer played Cass from 1982 until 1999 and recently reprised his Days role as Steven Olson. Now comes another reference to an old soap. And the fans were on top of it.

Lady Whistleblower’s Bank Gave It Away

On the January 7 episode of Days, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) implored Chad (Billy Flynn) to tell her the identity of the new Lady Whistleblower, whose articles are endangering the soap-within-a-soap called Body & Soul. Chad went on about privacy issues and admitted that the person submitted articles anonymously. However, Steph convincingly argued that the articles were hit pieces, not just opinions.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers January 8: Julie Gets Some Surprising Support
Image
Days of our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, January 8, demonstrate that Julie isn’t even close to getting over grieving for Doug—and that young Doug is here to take advantage of it.

I’ll Be There For You

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) has resigned herself to believe that her brother, Stephan (Stephen Schnetzer), was the one who made off with Grandma Alice’s (Frances Reid) necklace, and she’s decided to let it go. We, of course, know that it was her newfound stepgrandson, Doug III (Payten Meyer), who allowed Leo (Greg Rikaart) to talk him into convincing himself that he didn’t do anything wrong.

He needed the money; the other Hortons did it; ergo, he’s just taking care of himself…like Grandpa Doug (Bill Hayes) would have wanted him to. We’re sure Doug III will keep telling himself that as he watches Julie suffer. Hey, he tried to cheer her up!

December 2024 Performer of the Month The Nominees

The History Of Days Of Our Lives’ Steven Olson
Image
Longtime Days of Our Lives’ fans were in for quite a treat this week as the return of several long forgotten faces made their way to Salem to celebrate the life of beloved patriarch, Doug Williams. And none created quite as much excitement as Steven Olson, played by his 1978-79 portrayer, Stephen Schnetzer.

While Schnetzer may be most remembered by soap fans for his role as Cass Winthrop on Another World, his journey in Salem was also a memorable one.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Who was Steven Olson?

Will Hope’s Warning Scare Doug Into Giving Back the Necklace on December 10 Days of Our Lives?
Image
Before Hope returned to Bo’s side in the Tuesday, December 10 episode of Days of Our Lives, she needed to do a couple of things. First, she had to verify Doug’s grandson’s story. Second, she needed to dole out a warning and make sure Doug III understood her loud and clear. Will he heed Hope’s warning? Or will he continue to double down on the diamond necklace stealing?

Shady Doug

Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) is turning out to be a very frustrating individual, not to mention he is super shady. He had no problem throwing Julie’s brother, Steve Olson (Stephen Schnetzer), under the bus. All so he could throw suspicion off of him.

And if that wasn’t enough, he actually took the opportunity to get Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) to trust him even more. He actually told her she could count on him and...

Stephen Schnetzer Reveals What It’s Like to Revive Steve Olson On Days of Our Lives After Decades
Image
There’s another Steve on Days of Our Lives. No, it’s not a clone of Steve Johnson or someone wearing a Steve mask. It’s Steve Olson, who was played by Stephen Schnetzer from 1978 to 1979. His short run was memorable as Julie’s younger brother who always caused some kind of trouble, and he left Salem when his crimes started catching up to him. Schnetzer recently reprised his role so Steve could attend Doug’s funeral, and the actor explained what it was like to get back into the part.

He’s a Charming Rogue

Schnetzer told TV Insider that returning to play Steve after 46 years had passed was like riding a bicycle, and it all came back to him. Image
Belle and Shawn ended their marriage on the Wednesday, December 4 episode of Days of Our Lives. After all, they have barely seen each other since Shawn entered rehab and allowed guilt to take over his life. But that wasn’t the only reason the high school sweethearts decided to get divorced…again.

End of an Era

Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) were very civil as they reconnected at Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John’s (the late Drake Hogestyn) place. It was all very matter-of-fact. Obviously, Shawn still felt like he was drowning under the weight of his guilt. However, he said he was working on that with a therapist. He updated Belle on Bo’s situation,...

How ‘Days Of Our Lives’ Celebrated 15,000 Episodes
Image
Days of Our Lives on Monday reached its milestone 15,000th episode with sentimental appearances by Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady), Gloria Loring (Liz Chandler), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Horton), Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton) and Stephen Schnetzer (Steven Olson).

Doug Williams III was also introduced on the Peacock sudser; he’s played by Peyton Meyer.

The episode opened with a vintage, black and white clip of Bill Hayes’ Doug behind bars from the good ol days on NBC. It then continued with Deidre Hall’s Marlena reading Doug’s obit before she gets a surprise visit from Loring’s Liz.

The episode sets the stage for Tuesday’s funeral for Doug and the soap’s official goodbye to Hayes, who died in January at 98. More former stars are expected to return to Salem for the tribute, which will feature Loring leading the group in a rendition of Irving Berlin’s “Always.”
