Jaime King Recalls Her First Celebrity Crush, Red Carpet Dress and More
Jaime King
Jaime King can't remember for sure what she wore to her first red carpet, but she thinks she has an idea. "I think it was the premiere for Basquiat, and I went with [sisters] Lola Schnabel and Stella, cause their dad [artist Julian Schnabel] made that movie and it was the first movie premiere that I had ever seen," the model-turned-actress says. "We were just kids, we were babies...It was in the '90s so probably some sort of slip dress." This was just one of the many firsts that King recalled when I sat down with her at the Sundance Film Festival to promote her new indie Bitch. The 37-year-old's first celebrity crush? Take a Look Around
Lola Montes Schnabel: Love Before Intimacy The Hole Through February 4, 2012

There is a koan that states, "If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him." Thinking about Buddha as something outside of oneself is creating preconceived ideas and is, hence, antithetical to one's awakening. Looking at the work of Lola Montes Schnabel is a little like that. Schnabel has created a suite of paintings, stylistically not so much indebted to the Neo-Expressionist movement as developing from it, that are worth considering.

These five works, created over the past year, incorporate an impressive range of materials (asphalt, oil, Plaster-Weld, and copper-plating solution). They comprise an allegorical group...

The Fight to Transfer 70,000 Rare Indie Films to Digital
Non-New Yorkers may not be familiar with the Anthology Film Archives, though it did get a nice jokey shout out from Tina Fey recently on 30 Rock. The non-profit cinema and film archive was founded by a group of experimental filmmakers, including Jonas Mekas and Stan Brakhage, and is home to tens of thousands of rare works spanning the history of cinema. Unfortunately, much of the collection will not live forever in its current form, so Mekas wants to transfer his library of 70,000 films to digital and put them up on the ol' internet for all to enjoy through eternity.

According to the Daily News, Mekas needs to raise money for a digital transfer machine, which will run him around $200,000. And he's getting help from some musical friends, including Moby and Sonic Youth. These artists are among those who will perform at the Hiro Ballroom in NYC this Wednesday (5/19/10) for a...

Clad in a fashionable fur-lined vest with a black top and sporty trousers, the "Georgia Rule" cutie hit up the Roberto Cavalli afterparty following the designer's catwalk show earlier in the day.

Posing for pictures upon arrival, LiLo proceeded to mingle with fellow guests including stars such as Courtney Love, Elisabetta Canalis, Ronnie Wood and Lola Schnabel.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Lohan made the trip overseas to check out the Milan Feshion Week shows while promoting her clothing line, 6126.
