Image
Alley Mills will be reunited with her The Wonder Years husband Dan Lauria in the new Off Broadway production of Paul Osborn’s classic stage comedy Morning’s At Seven, a reteaming that comes as Mills replaces the recently injured Judith Ivey.

The original Wonder Years mom was cast in the role of Arry after Ivey left the production due a torn tendon. (Nancy Ringham was a temporary replacement until Mills could join.)

“We are thrilled to have Alley Mills join our Morning’s At Seven family,” said producer Julian Schlossberg in a statement. “In the theatre, anything can happen,...

Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway heading to Broadway
Producers Julian Schlossberg and Letty Aronson announced today that Allen is adapting his 1994 gangsters-meet-divas movie Bullets Over Broadway as a musical. Allen and original Bullets co-writer Douglas McGrath will collaborate on the stage version. The musical’s songs will be apparently culled from Prohibition-era Broadway, which at least means that U2 won’t be called in. Allen will pen the book for the musical, which will feature existing music from 1920s, in which "Bullets Over Broadway" is set, producers Julian Schlossberg and Letty Aronson said Thursday. "Bullets Over Broadway" tells the story of an aspiring...

New York – The steady stream of movies being retooled into stage musicals so far has not tapped into the extensive Woody Allen vaults, but that will change when Bullets Over Broadway hits its title destination in 2013. Producers Julian Schlossberg and Letty Aronson have announced that a musical based on Allen’s 1994 crime-caper comedy is in preparation for next year. The show will feature a book by Allen, with additional creative team, dates, theater and casting to be announced. Rather than using a new score, the musical will draw upon existing songs from the 1920s, when the story
