PETA is announcing the news in advance of New York Fashion Week — during which celebrities have unveiled naked anti-fur ads since the ‘90s — and cites a historic tipping point: "Nearly every top designer has shed fur, California has banned it, Queen Elizabeth II has renounced it, Macy’s is closing its fur salons, and now, the largest fur auction house in North America has filed for bankruptcy," says PETA Senior Vice President Dan Mathews, who conceived the “naked” campaign. “With fur in a downward spiral, PETA will expand our efforts to expose the violent leather and wool trades.

The internet was in shock yesterday as reports broke saying that Colton Haynes is leaving Teen Wolf, though producers denied the report. E! adds that the show decided to move on because Haynes' team took took long to respond to an offer for Haynes to stick around for two more seasons.

Every year The Friends of Scotland put on a fashion show known as Dressed to Kilt to promote Scottish designers and raise money for a worthy cause. (Proceeds from the last two years have gone to charities that support wounded war vets.)

The theme this year event was Country Chic: "Scottish couture meets country and western."

You might be surprised to learn that, according to their website Dressed to Kilt ranks as the highest profile Scottish event in the world (including Scotland) and one of the top 3 fashion shows in the world (right behind Victoria’s Secret)!

The show his heavy on the kilts, obviously, but the unifying theme is whimsical haute couture with a Scottish sensibility. On Monday night in New York City, the number-one question being asked at the Dressed to Kilt event hosted by Sir Sean Connery was "Do you or don't you wear anything under your kilt?" Celebrities including Joan Jett, Gerard Butler and Mike Myers walked the runway set up at the M2 Lounge to help benefit the Friends of Scotland Organization. A 27-year-old French woman was taken into custody for trespassing inside the Malibu home of sexbomb Pamela Anderson. Christine Roth is being held at Los Angeles County Jail on $150, 000 bail following the incident on Sunday, and she's expected to be arraigned today on charges of stalking the former Baywatch actress. Anderson reportedly was home when deputies arrived at about 10:50 a.m. Sunday to find Roth also inside the home. Roth allegedly told them she was a French national and was obsessed with the 33-year- old actress. Deputies say she did not have any weapons on her at the time. Anderson's publicist said, "Security measures were in place and she was arrested immediately. We are hopeful that she will get the medical attention that she obviously needs." Authorities say this isn't the first time Roth has popped up in Malibu. The woman reportedly was spotted on Anderson's property February 17th, but she left before deputies showed up. Stalking troubles aside, Anderson recently split with Swedish model Marcus Schenkenberg, whom she had been dating since last summer.

Playing out like a bargain basement "Fatal Attraction", Fredrik Sundwall's "Hostage" tells the warmed-over story of a nice-guy protagonist who discovers that the woman he's dating is a card-carrying psycho.

While the milieu is at least promising -- transplanted Europeans in New York City -- debuting writer-director Sundwall ultimately proves to be more concerned with his conventional story line than with giving it a fresh context.

Ultimately, this Hollywood Film Festival entry slogs vacantly through its tired terrain.

Calvin Klein underwear model Marcus Schenkenberg stars as Adam Dahl, a 28-year-old Swede who has come to New York as an aspiring off-Broadway set designer and also to hook up with his smarmy half-brother Mark (David Arrow) and his mute, institutionalized half-sister Celia (former Jean-Paul Gaultier model Eve Salvail).

Adam believes he's found a little escape from all that Big Apple alienation in the alluring form of Eveline (Beatrice Macola), a mysterious guest at a party held by Mark and his pregnant wife Beatrice (Myriam Cyr) with whom he becomes smitten.

Soon Adam and Eveline (get it?) embark on a steamy tryst, but the more he becomes infatuated with her, the more he discovers the depths of her nasty dementia. Of course, despite his noble efforts to end the relationship, Adam learns the tough way that breaking up is hard to do.

Although Sundwall's scripting is tediously second-rate, he certainly has an eye for intriguing faces and, when not resorting to the kind of effects that are employed in every other music video, a nice sense of visual composition.

The acting, meanwhile, with its blend of accents, is similarly mixed.

While lead Schenkenberg is pleasant in a blank-slate kind of a way -- he's incapable of registering any real depth of emotion unless it's expressed as part of a stream of annoying voice-overs -- Macola's Eveline is convincingly off-kilter. She could give Glenn Close's Alex Forrest and her improvised rabbit stew a certifiably deranged run for her money.
