When Charles Durning appeared on NCIS in 2004, he was neither a stranger to acting nor without knowledge of the military. The WWII veteran was a long-time presence on big and small screens. Durning's role as Corporal Earnie Yost on NCIS stood apart from many of his other roles, however, because it earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.
His appearance on NCIS wasn't Durning's first nomination in the category. He was previously nominated for playing Michael Gavin on Rescue Me and Thomas Finnegan on Homicide: Life on the Streets. Additional praise for Durning came with Oscar nominations for his roles in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982) and To Be or Not to Be (1983).
In the minds of many, Durning will always be remembered for NCIS and the emotional intensity he brought to the role of Yost. Personal and powerful alike, Durning demonstrated...

As Perrette’s exit from the show approached, the creators felt they couldn’t let Abby leave without revealing this important part of her life. They wanted her farewell to be just as unique as she was, and showing her apartment was the perfect way to do that.
What was the one condition NCIS had before saying goodbye to Abby Sciuto?
For fifteen seasons, NCIS fans have loved Abby Sciuto for her gothic style and brilliant forensic skills. However, one thing that remained a mystery was where she lived.

By the end of its 10th season, NCIS cemented itself as one of the most popular shows in the U.S. Moreover, a year prior to achieving this feat, it was voted America’s favorite television show in an online poll. But like many shows of its stature, the show wasn’t an instant juggernaut on the small screen.

The NCIS: Origins series premiere was a fun surprise for long-time NCIS fans. The new prequel show aired its first two episodes on October 14, and the franchise took a new direction.
NCIS: Origins is set in 1991 and will tell stories about young Leroy Jethro Gibbs and young Mike Franks. NCIS fans know the duo well from the parent show, where their older version solved many cases.
Mark Harmon played Gibbs on NCIS; Austin Stowell now plays the younger Gibbs on NCIS: Origins. Sean Harmon (Mark’s son) used to play Gibbs in NCIS flashbacks, but he now serves as an executive producer of the prequel.
It seemed like Mark was done playing the character. Gibbs was retired to Alaska, and we last saw him bidding farewell to Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) after they enjoyed some fishing.
But NCIS fans who tuned in for the first night of NCIS: Origins...

During its marathon run on TV, NCIS required many people to make the series the success it is, and the series paid tribute to one of those people during its October 14 season 22 premiere. When the police procedural aired the opening of NCIS season 22, it featured a tribute to George Schenck, causing many to wonder who the man was. To those who worked on the show for years, since its earliest days, Schenck was a dear friend and colleague, which warranted memorializing his contributions to the series and his passing.
From the outside, it's impossible to perceive how many individuals contributed to the NCIS franchise to make it successful today. Schenck is one of those contributors, working with the series since its earliest days when Mark Harmon was Leroy Jethro Gibbs and when Sasha Alexander's Kate Todd was still with the team. Hello, everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to do an installment of my Phantom Thread series, but I’m finally back on the beat and this newest entry is quite an oddball in the realm of Phantom of the Opera-related adaptations. Directed by Gene Levitt and starring the likes of Peter Lawford, Jack Cassidy, Broderick Crawford, and Jackie Coogan (who most genre fans know from his role as Uncle Fester in the Addams Family TV series), this made-for-tv movie first aired on CBS in February 1974 and features a mysterious masked entity who is stalking the backlot of Worldwide Films as the studio prepares to sell the property off to the highest bidder.

No details were revealed on the nature of quirky Perrette character Abby Sciuto’s last scene, but Sean Murray, Brian Dietzen, Emily Wickersham and Wilmer Valderrama evidently are present, judging from the tweet.
Producers have promised Perrette isn’t leaving NCIS after a decade and a half without a “special send-off,” according to executive producers George Schenck and Frank Cardea.
“We’ve known for some time this would be Pauley’s final season on NCIS and have been working toward a special send-off,” Schenck and Cardea said earlier to Deadline. “From day one, she has brought incredible passion and specificity to the role. Recently, CBS put out a news article on their website revealing that we’re about to see a new female agent join the NCIS crew for the upcoming season 15. It turns out that the show has decided to hire actress Maria Bello to portray an NCIS agent that was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army and served two tours in Afghanistan. Their article didn’t reveal the character’s name. So, I guess we’ll have to wait until later on or until she finally arrives on the show to get that intel. Adding to the character’s description, they said, “After joining NCIS, the character built her reputation as the agency's premier forensic psychologist. Unlike the other agents, she can second-guess and challenge Gibbs. So, there will be friction but also mutual respect. She is a positive force, mischievous and at times, acerbic. They say she will...
