‘Death Becomes Her’ Musical Announces Complete Broadway Cast

Death Becomes Her, the Broadway-bound musical starring Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, Christopher Sieber and Michelle Williams, has announced full ensemble casting.

The stage musical adaptation of the 1992 film begins previews Wednesday, October 23, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, with opening night on Thursday, November 21.

Joining the previously announced Hilty, Simard, Sieber and Williams will be ensemble players Marija Abney, Lauren Celentano, Sarita Colon, Kaleigh Cronin, Natalie Charle Ellis, Taurean Everett, Michael Graceffa, Neil Haskell, Kolton Krouse, Josh Lamon, Sarah Meahl, Ximone Rose, Sir Brock Warren, Bud Weber, Ryan Worsing, and Warren Yang. Kyle Brown, Lakota Knuckle, Johanna Moise and Amy Quanbeck join as swings.

The full casting was announced today by producer Universal Theatrical Group.

Directed and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, Death Becomes Her features a book by Marco Pennette, and an original score by Julia Mattison & Noel Carey.

Pulitzer-Winning ‘Cost Of Living’ Sets Broadway Dates, Completes Cast

Cost of Living, Martyna Majok’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, will begin Broadway previews at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on Tuesday, September 13, ahead of an official opening on Monday, October 3.

The Manhattan Theatre Club announced the dates today, along with the addition of cast members Kara Young, a Tony nominee for her performance in last season’s Clyde’s, and David Zayas, best known to TV audiences for his long-running role as Angel Batista on Showtime’s Dexter.

Young and Zayas join the previously announced Gregg Mozgala and Katy Sullivan, who reprise their performances from the play’s acclaimed 2017 Off Broadway production.

Also as previously announced, Jo Bonney directs.

Sold-Out ‘Sing Street’ Off-Broadway Musical From ‘Once’ Writers Heads To Broadway
Lucy Boynton and Ferdia Walsh-Peelo in Sing Street (2016)
Off Broadway’s hit Sing Street, a musical adaptation of the 2016 film about a group of Dublin teens in the 1980s who form a New Wave band to escape troubled home lives and small town drudgery, will transfer to Broadway in March.

Previews begin Thursday, March 26, at the Lyceum Theatre, with an opening night on Sunday April 19.

Staged Off Broadway by the New York Theatre Workshop with a book by playwright Enda Walsh (Lazarus) based on the film written and directed by John Carney – the same triumvirate behind Broadway’s smash Once – the sold-out show’s transfer was not unexpected. Reviews were mostly positive and generally encouraging if not full-on raves, with some critics pointing to fixable flaws like pacing while almost universally praising the lead performance by young Brenock O’Connor.
