Ralph Fiennes is no stranger to a historical drama. His filmography includes Schindler's List, The English Patient, and most recently The Return, based on the ancient story, The Odyssey. However, one of his best historical films is actually an animated musical, titled The Prince of Egypt.

A new classic from the 90s will present a modernized version from the hand of director Ben Ketai (Beneath), with Adam Brody and Leighton Meester as protagonists. This is River Wild, a 1994 film starring Kevin Bacon and Meryl Streep, which new reimagining will be released on digital, Blu-ray and DVD on August 1.

This Thursday, Universal Pictures released the first trailer for the movie, which anticipates a family adventure that goes terribly wrong when they get cut in the rapids, while someone on the boat seems to be determined to sabotage their trip:
