The mystery-drama comedy Desperate Housewives ran for eight seasons on ABC from 2004 until 2012, but it continued to have a loyal fandom even after its ending. That's why the series is now getting a spin-off.

The dramedy series was set on Wisteria Lane, a street in the fictional town of Fairview in the fictional Eagle State. Desperate Housewives followed the lives of four women, covering their lives across fifteen years. Deadline reveals that the new offshoot series will be titled Wisteria Lane, and will welcome new residents on the same street.

The new spin-off series is a reimagining of the ABC hit, and is in development at Onyx Collective. The upcoming Wisteria Lane comes from Scandal's Kerry Washington's Simpson Street, and 20th Television. Desperate Housewives creator/executive producer Marc Cherry is not involved in the pitch, but might be involved in the series in the future.

On the Still The Place podcast, Savant talked with former co-stars Laura Leighton, Courtney Thorne-Smith, and Daphne Zuniga about the challenges of playing a gay character as a straight actor during a time when TV had very little representation.

When we were shooting all those things and the trailers for the show, I said to Sam, our publicist, ‘Do you care to talk about how we’re going to handle this going forward, that there was a gay character?'”

Fresh off the series celebrating its 20th anniversary last month, the Desperate Housewives creator is revealing that he would love to revisit the series, but he would want to do it during a completely different era and to be able to write a very specific character again.

During a chat with People, Cherry revealed that he would love to do a Desperate Housewives prequel series set in the '60s. The Emmy-nominated showrunner said, "I would probably want to do the idea maybe in an earlier decade. Because the character I miss writing the most is Wisteria Lane. That was the most fun playground anyone in the history of television has ever had, because we owned the whole street."

We found out last year that the 1986 rock ‘n roll horror film Trick or Treat, one of my all-time favorite movies, would be getting a Blu-ray and 4K Uhd release from Synapse Films. They were originally aiming for a Halloween 2023 release, but since they missed that month they ended up giving the movie a limited edition release last month. Those 6,666 units sold out so fast, with fans crashing the Synapse Films website along the way, that the company has now wisely decided to put together a standard edition of the Blu-ray and 4K Uhd release as well. Today, they announced that the street date for the standard edition is March 11th.

The limited special edition 4K release of Trick or Treat is strictly limited to a total of 6666 units!

The good news is that preorders are open now, with the release shipping as soon as next week, October 27.

Apparently TV can’t get enough “Melrose Place.” The campy sudser from the 1990s, which was already rebooted once in the 2010s, is looking to make another comeback — and this time with three of the Og stars. Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga are all back to reprise their roles in the latest reboot, this time from writer Lauren Gussis.

Gussis will also exec produce with Leighton, Zuniga, Tiffany Grant and Jason Weinberg. Here’s the logline: “When one of their dearest friends dies suddenly, the Og residents of Melrose Place gather to honor the deceased. Last week, we heard the awesome news that the 1986 rock ‘n roll horror film Trick or Treat, one of my all-time favorite movies, is getting a Blu-ray and 4K Uhd release (and possibly a new DVD release) from Synapse Films. A specific date for this release has not yet been announced, just that they’re hoping to get it out into the world by the end of 2023 – and ideally, of course, it would be out in October. Synapse Films is collaborating with Michael Felsher of Red Shirt Pictures on this release, and now Felsher has revealed some details to Rue Morgue, confirming that we can expect to see a documentary, a commentary, and interviews on the disc.

The 1986 rock ‘n roll horror film Trick or Treat is one of my all-time favorites, but since the VHS era it has only gotten a barebones DVD release (which is available for a high price Here) and a Blu-ray in Germany. So this ranks high as some of the coolest news I’ve seen lately: Synapse Films is putting together a Blu-ray and 4K Uhd release (and possibly a new DVD release) of Trick or Treat that they’re hoping to send out into the world by the end of 2023!

Full details on the release aren’t available at this time, as they’re too early in the process, but Synapse Films is collaborating with Michael Felsher of Red Shirt Pictures to make sure it’s the best it can be. The livestream announcement can be viewed on Facebook.

Teri Hatcher is currently starring as Morticia Adams in a production of The Addams Family, according to Playbill. This is a very different role from Hatcher's Desperate Housewives sweet mother and artist Susan Mayer, who lives on idyllic yet creepy Wisteria Lane with her best friends. The show did a great job proving that life in suburbia is not always perfect, and everyone has secrets that they don't wish to share with those close to them. For 8 seasons, Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria), Susan, and Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross) mourn their late friend Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) and deal with different kinds of drama.

Many Desperate Housewives episodes have gotten high ratings on IMDb, and the best episodes include wild moments but also compelling shifts in the friendships and relationships that the main characters have.

Season two of Leverage: Redemption is set to premiere on Amazon Freevee (formerly IMDb TV) on November 16th. Three episodes will be released on that day, and the season's remaining 10 installments will be released each week after that.

Gina Bellman, Beth Riesgraf, Christian Kane, Aldis Hodge, Noah Wyle, and Aleyse Shannon star in the sequel series, which like the original Leverage series, revolves around a group who use their various talents to help individuals fight back against injustices. Pierson Fodé, Alanna Masterson, Anand Desai-Barochia, Steve Coulter, and Doug Savant are set to guest star in season two.

Amazon's ad-supported Freevee will take viewers back to the world of Leverage: Redemption in November.

Leverage: Redemption Season 2 is set to premiere on November 16 exclusively in the U.S. and UK.

Leverage: Redemption follows a Robin Hood-esque team of criminals as they stage elaborate cons against wealthy and powerful individuals on behalf of clients who have been wronged.

The second season consists of 13 episodes with the first three episodes available immediately and a new episode releasing each Wednesday until the season finale on January 25, 2023.

The fan-favorite first season of Leverage: Redemption is also available on demand and as a Fast channel on Amazon Freevee.

In Season Two, corporate bad guys and dirty dealers are stepping on the little guy in their quest for money and power and the Leverage team is back to teach them a lesson.

No matter the danger, when someone needs help, they provide... Leverage.
