Started Caffee Dell'Opera in 1967 as a coffee shop next door to the family bakery. The waiters all sang opera. Over the years, celebrities such as Sophia Loren, Jimmy Durante, Tony Bennett, Mario Lanza and Luciano Pavarotti were among his customers.

Murdered in the driveway of his home during a robbery attempt.
