Tej Sapru opens up on his role in historical drama ‘Razakar’

Actor Tej Sapru, who is known for films like ‘Tridev’, ‘Paap Ko Jalaa Kar Raakh Kar Doonga’, ‘Andaz’, ‘Mohra’ and others, essays the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the film ‘Razakar’.

The actor said that this role will change the audience’s perception of him as an actor as after doing an array of negative characters, he has stepped into the role of a person who shaped modern India.

‘Razakar’ is a period drama and brings forth the story set in the aftermath of the partition of India.

The film after releasing in Telugu and Kannada is set for a theatrical release in Hindi and Marathi.

The actor recently spoke with Ians, and said that after the partition, the Nizam territory was not in India, and the film brings to light the events surrounding the inclusion of Nizam territory in India.

‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan…’ has starry premiere, but trade expects lukewarm reception

Ahead of its release on Friday, the theatrical film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which stars Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the lead, had its premiere at a five star property in Mumbai’s Vile Parle area.

The event was attended by the likes of playback singer Palak Muchhal, who was once offered a role in the film by Salman but she couldn’t take it up due to familial resistance.

The mother-daughter duo of Shweta and Palak Tiwari also attended the premiere. Palak stars in the film among an ensemble cast of Tej Sapru, Bhumika Chawla, the film’s female lead – Pooja Hegde, Siddharth Nigam, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, Raghav Juyal and Jassie Gill, all of whom attended the premiere along with Bhaijaan – Salman Khan.

Others who were seen at the event were Iulia Vantur, Salman’s old friend Sajid Nadiadwala, who directed Salman in ‘Kick’.

There have been many cases in the past, wherein the domestic helps of Bollywood stars have siphoned off with many valuables from their owners' residences. The latest victim of this robbery happen to be yesteryear's actor Tej Sapru and his sister actress Priti Sapru, who were robbed of cash and valuables worth around Rs. 3 lakhs by their servant.

Reports have it that, the domestic help named Vijay Parida (whom Priti Sapru had hired) gained her trust gradually over a period of time. And based on this trust, Priti Sapru recommended Vijay to her brother Tej Sapru, who was looking for a domestic help. Vijay, in turn, sent his younger brother Ajay Parida to work at Tej Sapru's residence. Ajay also, in a short span of time, gained Tej Sapru's trust, so much so that the Sapru siblings confidently started leaving their respective residences at the hands of Parida brothers.

New Delhi, Jan 5: Will Zoya Farouqi, played by Surbhi Jyoti, ever get to meet her onscreen father in popular TV show "Qubool Hai"?

The Zee TV's show hit the small screen in October 2012 and even after about 310 episodes, Zoya, the main protagonist who came to India from the Us with a mission to find her father, hasn't been able to identify him.

Every time she is about to meet her onscreen dad, played by Tej Sapru, some twist and turn is introduced in the story. Initially, they were interesting, but now lack lustre.

The latest promos hint that Zoya's father is trying to track her down and there may be a reunion of.
