    • Mark Sanderson is a working screenwriter, author, blogger, and lecturer blessed to be living his childhood dream of making movies in genres ranging from comedy to drama. His work ranges from sketch comedy writing and performing as a founding member of "The Amazing Onionheads", writing for MTV, and two dozen screenwriting assignments that have produced TV and indie movies with film festival premieres and worldwide distribution of his 17 films. Mark's long association with Hollywood veterans dates back to his first produced screenplay, and he has since worked with Academy Award winning producers, veteran directors, and Academy Award, Emmy, and Golden Globe acting nominees.

      Mark's films have premiered on Lifetime Network, LMN, SyFy, Fox, HereTV, HBO Canada, Christmas 24, NBC/Universal, and The Movie Network among others, also streaming on Tubi, Amazon, Apple+, and have been distributed globally. His films also have been recognized at festivals including a premiere and opening the Palm Springs Int. Film Festival, premieres at the Hawaii Int. Film Festival, St. Louis Int. Film Festival, The Rainbow Festival in Hawaii, Newport Beach Int. Film Festival, Fort Lauderdale Int. Festival, and nominated for the Starboy award at the Oulu Int. Children's Film Festival in Finland.

      Mark was named one of Screencraft's "25 People Screenwriters Should Follow on Twitter", and his first screenwriting book, "A Screenwriter's Journey to Success" is available on Amazon with 56 five star reviews.

Trivia

  • Started making Super-8 movies when he was 11 years old with childhood friend director Matt Reeves. As a teenager, Mark's Super-8 film "The Last Silent Swordsman" premiered at the Nuart Theater in Los Angeles in a film festival along with films from Reeves and JJ Abrams.
  • Co-founder of the Los Angeles based sketch comedy troupe "The Amazing Onionheads".
