Deion Sanders is opening up about his health.

The 57-year-old Colorado head coach spoke with reporters in Boulder on Monday morning (July 28), where he and medical teammate Dr. Janet Kukreja and trainer Lauren Askevold revealed why he was away from the Buffaloes for months.

Following routine testing earlier this year, the doctor said a scan showed Deion had a tumor on his bladder. It was surgically removed, and successfully rid the coach of the disease.

Described as a family crime comedy, the eight-episode series is set to go into production in 2025. Sanders will be the subject of Prime Time. It comes after Netflix rival Amazon aired three seasons of Coach Prime, which follows his Jackson State University Tigers team.

Netflix said that the series will “explore Sanders’ evolution from a two-sport phenom to a culture-defining coach and media personality” and open up about his relationship with his biological father, surviving an attempted suicide and near-death health scares.

It’s unclear whether it will include footage of the recent NFL draft, where his son Shedeur Sanders fell to the fifth round after many expected him to be a top pick.

The three-part series will also feature Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Ice Cube and Kirk Franklin.

It will be produced by Smac Entertainment, which produced Coach Prime, Skydance Sports and NFL Films.

Tubi has launched a set of new ad products, including “Wrappers,” which lets movie studio marketers secure prime real estate on the streaming service’s home screen.

The Fox Corp. subsidiary made the announcements Tuesday at a NewFronts presentation to advertisers, which started with a rah-rah opening by Deion Sanders and Rocsi Diaz. Sanders, the University of Colorado football coach and NFL Hall of Famer, co-hosts Tubi’s weekly talk show We Got Time Today.

Sanders and Diaz, who emceed the NewFront, introduced Tubi CEO Anjali Sud. She told ad buyers in the audience that for the streaming service’s younger-skewing and more multi-cultural viewers, “ads are part of the experience.” They are not in the mix for Tubi “as a way of driving Arpu [average revenue per user] or upselling you to an ad-free tier.”

With Fox’s resources fortifying Tubi since the company acquired it in 2020, the free platform has grown to 97 million monthly active users.

Michael appeared on Monday’s GMA with Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and co-stars, including Lara Spencer.

During the show, Lara presented a story about Shedeur, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, and how the talented Colorado Buffaloes quarterback dropped to the fifth round of the NFL Draft.

He was also the victim of a cruel prank call during the draft. A caller informed him he was about to be drafted by the New Orleans Saints, but then told him he’d “have to wait a little bit longer” and hung up.

The former New York Giants star has a busy life between his family, work, and business ventures.

DirecTV has introduced a new character in its national TV spots running as part of the company’s “For the Birds” campaign.

Joining pigeons Frank (voiced by Henry Winkler) and Bobby (Steve Buscemi) is a hyper squirrel named Tammi (Kristen Schaal), who wonders if DirecTV’s ability to display content from linear channels available in its DirecTV via Internet packages alongside streaming video recommendations from supported apps is based on “uncanny content recommendations based on your watch history, or mind control?!”

As a born and bred New Yorker, Steve Buscemi is very familiar with a certain segment of the city’s population — pigeons. So he didn’t have to dive too deeply into research to prepare for voicing his role as Bobby, an “outspoken and sarcastic” bird opposite Winkler’s “even-tempered and optimistic” Frank in an ongoing campaign for DirecTV called “For the Birds.”

“He just seems very New York to me,” Buscemi told The Hollywood Reporter. “He’s used to living. He doesn’t exactly live on the street, but instead lives a lot on rooftops. He’s probably very old school and doesn’t really welcome change too easily. He’s set in his ways but I think he’s got a good pigeon heart. He appreciates having a buddy like Frank even though Frank sometimes annoys him, but he’s a good friend nonetheless.”
